Not working here with USA AT&T iPhone 3G with beta 2.
These findings can be so odd. Some people have it, some don't.

Here's the important question nobody is asking yet. Did you have to make any changes to your messaging plan with AT&T to enable MMS, or did it start working all on its own? Also it'd be good to know what messaging package you have (e.g. is it the iPhone Text plan or is it a Family Messaging plan?)

If you were just working with the standard iPhone Text plan, about how long after the software update would you say it took for MMS to cooperate?

$30 family msg plan. ABSOLUTELY NO MODIFICATIONS TO PLANS OR SPOKEN TO ANYONE AT AT&T PRIOR OR AFTER 3.0B2 INSTALL.

Perhaps AT&T prior to beta 2 release did enable it for all iPhone 3G accts.
I did absolutely nothing to enable MMS. I just sent pictures and audio and it all works perfectly and FAST!

Tmobile users again can send and receive all my MMS! Same for AT&T 3G and regular non-iphone subscribers as well!

Alright, I think that's the missing link that makes MMS usable for some but not others. People like me who have the standard iPhone text messaging plan won't be able to use MMS yet unless they switch their phones over to a different plan, and last I heard AT&T was cracking down on people who have been trying to add MMS plans to their iPhones. Still, it's worth trying.

So, to reiterate, MMS is enabled on 3.0b2 ONLY if you have a plan with AT&T that includes MMS. If you have a standard iPhone Text Messaging plan, you're boned.

I have a standard iphone unlimited text messaging plan and mine worked for a couple hours today with nothing done at all. I didnt call anyone or change anything. I just updated to beta 2 on my 3G.

I've never heard of this messaging plan though: When I purchased two iphones in the beginning of last last july or so, I was told I needed to have unlimited txting. They added it as part of the package and I never heard of MMS included.

works for me AT&T + beta 2..it was working on and off before using the .plist file

seems to be working for a lot more people then the first BETA! Im downloadin BETA 2 right now. Did any one get the pink screen of doom? or has the first BETA not expired yet?

Well that's my point. AT&T has different messaging plans set up for the iPhone that are Text Messaging only. It's kind of annoying.

However, I just got off the phone with AT&T myself and from what we worked out, if you have the iPhone Unlimited messaging plan, it somehow includes MMS in the deal. Otherwise, you can request that they switch you from the iPhone specific messaging package to the standard equivalent messaging package.

So for example, up until 2 minutes ago I had the iPhone Text Messaging 1500 package on my plan, but now I just have the regular Messaging 1500 plan that costs the same and includes MMS.

Talk about wonky.

I did the same thing but with a regular unlimited texting plan! and its 10$ cheaper! so essentially we are paying 10$ to NOT have MMS! WTF

has anyone sent an mms on an iphone 3g using edge?

MMS works via EDGE and 3G. It is slower on EDGE, but still works if the mmsc responds.

There is a huge thread on this already where most of the MMS questions have already been answered. It just looks like at&t doesn't need a new ipcc file in beta2.

i had mms working before in the first beta but it is not currently working. the only thing to change was i went from an area with 3g to an area without 3g. thats why i had asked.

My MMS doesn't work. Did restore from backup and restore as new...same thing.... same error I had in beta 1

YOUTUBE doesn't work - it gives a "cannot connect to youtube" error message.

Never had this issue with beta 1 but with beta 2, it appears. Doesn't matter if wifi is on or off.

MMS still working wonderful, however.
