yeah unfortunetely.. MMS wont be working on the 1st Gen iPhone .. 2 different networks... 3g and edge...

Maybe it depends on what part of ATT's network.. Northern CA here... No worky...(MMS) beta 1 or 2
I'm going to RESTORE NOW AGAIN TO FIRMWARE 3.0 Beta 2.
My youtube doesn't work in beta two. Perhaps because i did a restore backup (from my 2.2.1). I'm going to setup as a new phone and see what gives.

On the Rogers Network
When i had the 3.0 Beta1 i was able to tether via USB and i was able to receive and send MMS.. I did have to update the carrier IPCC .. everything was working fine.. buggy ... slow.. and sometimes apps just restarted... After updating to the 3.0 Beta 2... i have seen an improvement on the speed of the apps.. and everything so GOOD NEWS for that.. as for MMS and Tethering BAD NEWS... THEY DO NOT WORK AT ALL!! ... so i still have the camera icon on my MMS.. when sending.. i am still able to send MMS ( or so it says) .. Sending.. sending... bum shows on my side that it has sent.. ive tried 3 different cells.. they never recieved the MMS (sent a pic) when i tried sending pics from their cells to my iphone.. NEVER GOT THEM... i tried doing the USB tethering.. NOTHING .... i kinda wish i had never updated from beta1 but it is much more quicker and SKYPE works excellent with the beta 2 over the 3g network. So what needs to be done now? update the carrier IPCC again? or what?? I lOVED MMS and Tethering i got to use them for seriously one week.. update comes.. and BOOM!! DEAD AND GONE!!

OK - Youtube works!!! I did a NON-RESTORE BACKUP - so setting phone as a NEW iPhone. MMS still sends, I can see all the data in xcode's organizer. Everything seems to be working just fine!

So are you able to receive MMS too? send.... what about tethering? usb or bluetooth? have you tried that? if those work for you i am gong to do it as a NEW phone too.
let me try tethering - so far, bluetooth works fine (I don't have a stereo headset to try out a2dp).

NO - speeds seem the same. I like the copy & paste and the overall usability in 3.0b2 is stable enough now for me to keep using it until b3!

Okay, this makes me wonder..
For those with FAN accounts, the TMS4 code they may have added (1500 B2B SMS) are pretty much screwed for MMS, as MMS should not be included, right?

It should work once it is official and AT&T takes whatever isn't permitting MMS off. But I'm not sure if it will during the beta. I'm using TMS4 and MMS does not work.
I just updated my iphone 3G by restoring (option click on restorem select the new firmware) and then restoring from backup.
My MMS isnt working, but my text plan with ATT is listed as SMS UNLTD DOM - MSG7. hows that compare to those whose MMS is working?

You can switch the SIM card into a "normal" phone to trick the system so the features page shows the other package for you to select or you can call customer service to try to get them to add it (they most likely won't).
Anyone using anything unusual is probably stuck until it is officially released if it will even work then.

Update: I restored form scratch and set up as new phone and youtube is now working, but MMS still isnt.

So last night i Updated to the beta 2 from the B1, apps loaded much faster and they were more stable. I read in the forums that people were restoring their iPhones to New iphone instead of restoring form a back up. I did the liberty of doing that.. all though it would delete all my sms but Oh well!! I have to say that after i upgraded to beta 2, tethering and MMS were not working. Now after I re-installed the beta as a new phone. Everything was working fine. But there was no camera icon on my MMS. So i had lost that feature for good. So then i updated the carrier IPCC and then there was the icon. Tethering was working perfectly again via usb. I did test the MMS and it's delay a little bit but they do send, like after 10-15 mins lol. So so far so good. it's almost perfect. So for all of you. I recommend that you Update to the BETA 2 AND RESTORE AS A NEW PHONE. It works Perfectly. With the little glitch that MMS take a little bit to be received or sent.
