iPhone 3.0 Update for iPod Touch Page Appears in iTunes, Not Yet Functional

Hats off to apple! They've absolutely nailed this. However many million users downloading at the same time. Apple Rulz OK!😉
~270 MB download, installed...still 2.2.1??
Then it did a 257mb download and is installing that to...huh?
2nd install put 3.0 on..weird....Ipod touch 2G

thats weird its the same exact build as the golden master version. anyone know when all the push enabled apps will be available?
My download is going pretty slow, started around 1:25 and its now 1:42 with about 70 MB left. Still excited though.
Very nice so far. I'm impressed with apple. I thought it would take all day to get this updated and it was finished in a little over 20 mins.

Tip: you might want to put iPhone in "Airplane Mode" before upgrading.
(I got a call in the middle and had to start over... no biggie, though. Everything looks fine.)

Do not put your phone in Airplane Mode when doing the update. The cell signal needs to be present in order to complete the process. If you did do this, just take your phone out of Airplane Mode when you're at the emergency screen, by attempting to place a call. It will tell you you're in Airplane Mode and ask if you want to disable - press disable button and your phone will then sync with iTunes. All is well.

Make sure that if you are listening to itunes while you update, make sure you like what you are listening to, because you cannot stop it or change songs.

Only if you want to have your phone locked out. There were big problems with people doing this on one of the previous updates.

Hahahahhahahaha, can you believe I downloaded iTunes 8.2 a few days ago but didn't install it? So when I FINALLY got the popup, it said I needed to install 8.2 HAHAHAHA! Now I need to wait for that to install 🙁 DEVO!
