iPhone 4 Available for Pre-Order from Apple

Almost there.

Got 2 orders confirmed. After I got the ATT premiere email that they received my order. I copy and pasted my order number and the one from 4am says processing and the one from 8am says "received" on the ATT order status page.

But my 803am order went through and I still got a canceled email a couple of minutes ago. Will try to reorder my last iPhone. This has been a 4 hour process (with a 2 hour nap in between).
 
Damn this sucks, I have to leave for work soon but have been trying for 2 hours with no luck. Got as far as entering in my shipping/billing info thinking I was FINALLY going to get through and nothing but a bunch of "OOPS" and store is down stickies. Apple should have been better prepared for this! :mad:
 
I think the guy who lost the prototype got moved down to the server room, and now he has lost the servers too.

I had a white 3G I loved but I'm going black for the 4 because I don't think I'll be able to stand the black camera on staring me in the face.

what are the positives to the white one? I just like the black one for someone, seems slicker and more in style.

From what i have heard on here and read, reserve still sounds like first come first serve.

Pre Order Iphone 4

Well, If you are eligible for upgrade on the 21 of June you cannot pre order...Dumb rule considering you wont be charged until the 24 of June..This is so stupid...Called AT&T and could not reach a manager..wow
 
Reserve or ship

Two questions that have probably been answered.

1. If I ship, can I get it shipped to my work address?

2. If I reserve, will I have to wait in a ridiculous line? or will it be a quick jaunt?

Dunno about that. Here's the relevant text from the email:

When you come in to pick up your iPhone, you'll be part of an exciting launch at the Apple Retail Store. We'll have Specialists ready to transfer your contacts, set up email, and help you get apps so your iPhone is just the way you like it. We can't wait to see you at the store.

I've been trying for 4.5 hours... WTF How are all of you getting through when the stupid ****ing store is down for me???

It is unbelievable that Apple didn't not test this **** earlier. How could they not expect this type of load?? huge FAILURE!!
