iPhone 4 Available for Pre-Order from Apple

**** it, going to the AT&T store.

Although the manager said I can do an upgrade swap, I'm expecting to here "Uh, yeah, he may have said that but we cant do that cause.... yeah, sorry."
 
Att store?

Tried the AT&T store like many have said but don't even see the iPhone 4 as an option after clicking on "pre order now". Every other iPhone is listed, no 4's.
 
What is wrong with these people that they can't run a simple pre-order system correctly.

Everyone running this pre-order project on the ATT and Apple side should be blacklisted from ever holding a technology job again, or any job other than flipping burgers and making fries. Maybe not even allowed to do that, their level of incompetence is beyond even making fast food.

They should only be allowed to dress like monkeys and dance in the park for spare change. Freaking Morons! :mad:

Yep, same here. It's like it isn't even in the system as far as they can tell.

Same here. Makes no sense. You'd think at least one of these companies would have been ready for pre-orders, but they're competing for most f'd up website at the moment.
 
on att many reported you had to go select apple only as the manufacturer and then it would show the iphone 4

Apple will only ship to the billing address on your AT&T account. However you can change your billing address on the AT&T site to your office, and then place the order with apple. It worked for me, assuming the order I placed with apple doesn't disappear (oops)
 
So my 4am order (from ATT premier) is processing. My previous 2 orders were canceled.

I ordered again at 8am. I thought I was in the clear. Since I usually got the cancellation email a few minutes after getting the order received

Now at 830am, they canceled one of my two 8am orders. I am hoping the other 8am isn't in the process of being canceled also.

At least I am in the clear with the 4am order because the status has already moved from received to processing on the order status page.
 
After a long hiatus, the Apple store came back up.


Made it as far as "add to cart" then my session expired.


I have ATT in one tab and Apple in the other. Both bomb out every time I try to order.
 
I might just have one reserved at the Apple store near me as I work 5 minutes away, and just arrive super early just in case.

wow i will flip on an att rep if i get a cancel order email i ordered mine at 630 and no email yet

They clearly got flooded with orders. No server on the planet can handle being flooded. Basically Apple is getting with a DOS attack. Its just real traffic.
 
After 4 hours and 42 minutes and probably 200-300 attempts (on both apple and att) I was finally able to see the iphone 4 on AT&T's site (weird). Was able to complete my order on AT&T... sleepy time
 
I gave up and ordered via the ATT.com. Transaction went completely smooth. It also offered Fedex free overnight delivery. I'm guessing they just ship from Apple as well.

So for those of you that need to go to work like me..... go to ATT.com, log in, and order from there.
