just got mine today. for 10 bucks im satisfied but you can definitely feel a difference in quality. as others have stated the oem ones have a lot less give making it somewhat hard to put in the phone. it feels a lot less rubbery but overall i like it
Man these bumpers are ghetto, I bought the $11 one from fleabay just cause I was curious to see how they compare to the real deal. The plastic on the top looks like it's separating from the tpu, the buttons have nice tactile feedback but are shiny chrome (they are matte/brushed on an authentic one) I scuffed them up w/ a scotchbrite. The coloe is wayyyy off, the tpu part looks yellowish like it's been cooking in the sun. Oh well what do you expect for $11

im noticing the packaging in some of the pics here is a little different. Would be helpful to know the sellers name to try and get it as accurate as possible! might buy these in bulk and try to sell them on.

So i got mine today in the post. Have to say, they are rather good for the price. Turn around time for me was 7 working days to the UK. I got mine from seller digitmall09. These are the initial pics of the packaging:

i have fitted the bumper and i must say its much more snug than the real one. With the real one i was getting a bit of give round the sides.
The ebay bumper is worse quality material yes, but the difference is minimal, its difficult to differentiate between the two for an average joe.
One problem i am having with the ebay bumper is the sleep/wake button is quite hard to press with the bumper on. The metallic buttons arent as freely moving as the real bumper (on mine at least).
overall though, good product and you can sort of tell these have been copied, or they may be older prototypes from Apple, who knows. I recommend them anyway.

I received mine today as well. I purchased from gong wei on the 20th. I cannot post pics, but the packaging is EXACTLY the same as the real Apple packaging seen in the previous posts; same words, same UPC sticker (and placement of it), same Chinese symbols on the UPC (which I haven't seen on any of the other OEM packages posted). I haven't put it on yet as I am waiting for a newly installed clearcoat skin to fully dry. Seems like a great deal for $9.90.

I also ordered from Digitmall! I haven't got mine yet as I live in California! But it looks really close to being an original bumper in the pics! I can't wait to get mine! I ordered a green one, an orange one, and a white one! Woo hoo!
It looks like they have every color except white, which is unfortunately the color I wanted.
They do have some cheap knockoffs for $1, and then they have the ones they label OEM for about $10. The packaging does look pretty close to the real Apple packaging, even just looking at the crappy picture they provide.
If I wanted one of the other colors I'd probably grab one.
Agree about the snug fit. I received my official Apple bumper for my wife's phone today. I was trying to figure out which one I wanted, the OEM or the Apple, and ended up keeping the OEM on my phone because the Apple moves around a little bit.

I received my bumper from seller gong-wei today on sept 28. Made the purchase 09/14/10 (I'm located in Los Angeles).
The packaging looks very similar to the official apple product
The buttons are not as detailed as the official apple bumper and seem to be made of plastic. The volume adjust "+" and "-" buttons are very fine on the official apple bumper, while this ebay version has wider grooves.
There is a very fine part line on the outside corner of the case near the power button just like the official apple bumper, but I can see none on the inside. My ebay bumper has some dirt embedded in the plastic. Like others have said in this thread, the material is slightly different. The rubber part of the bumper seems to be of a higher durometer making the case less flexible and not as grippy. This harder rubber makes for a tighter fit (my official apple bumper has started to droop), which makes removing the ebay bumper a bit more difficult.
I am not sure how similar the colors are for these ebay bumpers are when compared to the official apple ones since I bought a different color.
Right now, I am preferring my official apple bumper, mostly due to the ease of removal.

So I put on the bumper. It is really tight. Much tighter than my apple bumper. This does make it quite difficult to get off. The only other issue I have with it is the sleep/wake button seems to need only the slightest touch to activate, which I also had on my apple bumper, which is why I ordered this one.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to make it a bit less touchy?

ako323, thanks for the photos. Just ordered one. It looks to be 97% the quality of the Apple ones, and that's good enough for me.
I think those all look very good, considering an official apple colored bumper is near impossible to find or they cost $60+
I ordered the green a while back and I think I'll be happy with it!

I checked my mail and it's here! The packaging is near identical. The bumper itself is awesome. The fit is awesome and the buttons are just as easy to press as my "official" pink and black bumpers. The only difference I can tell is that the volume buttons are slightly smaller... but they're not loose like the officials! When I shake my phone with the officials, I can hear the buttons move, but not with the ebay one. I bought it from digitmall09
The material isn't as rubbery as my black apple one - but the colored apple ones aren't like the black either. I have to say it feels 99% the same as my apple pink.
I am super happy I only paid $11 as opposed to $30 apple charges or the inflated $60-70 some are selling them for.
I ordered the green a while back and I think I'll be happy with it!
