iPhone 4 eBay Case Thread

Does anyone know if those defender cases on ebay work with zagg back skin or a screen protector? I just want a heavy duty case to take to the gym.
 
I got my first replicase in the mail today in BLACK. It's by far the best low profile case I've purchased. Someone said there is no flash washout I will confirm that THERE IS some flash washout even with the case being black. I'm going to try some black paint or a sharpie later. It's not too bad though and you only notice the washout depending on lighting and environment.

Avoid wowcases.com. Their replica cases are junk. Much thinner and offer no screen protection, as the sides barely come up to edge of screen. I fell for the fancy website and purchased one. Working on my pay pal refund now since the case they sent did not match the one pictured on the website.
 
Thanks for the warning about Wow cases. I got my white replicase from Cimo cases and am very happy with it. It comes up far enough over the screen that it has already saved my phone once when it face plated onto tile out of my pocket! Still - it's amazingly slim and alot of people have told me that they can't even tell I have a case on. Since they are a US seller - I received my case very quickly as well.
 
My cases still haven't arrived from China, but i was expecting quite a long wait anyway. Looking forward to mixing up my colours.

Seems most the cases suffer the flash problem, wonder if that will be remedied as time goes on?

Has anyone tried to trim the replicase flash cutout yet? I am not sure if an exacto knife or a dremmel would be best.

Also reminds of the Incase (guess we'll be seeing alot of replicas). Could you do a review with some photos and such? What screenguard did you try it with? Even the Incase Slider seems to lift most protectors as well :(

I wouldn't try it. The back plate is too thick imo and the cutout has a rounded and glossy finish. Would look like crap if you decided to mess with it.

No you get flash washout. You just don't notice it. Under certain lighting conditions and depending on what you're taking a picture of there is flash washout.

I have the same case. I'll try posting pics when I get a chance.
 
great thread =) bought a cheap TPU plastic (or they say) bumper in black while i wait for my free case from apple. (took griffin etch)

listed here. Figured wth, its only 3$ shipped haha.

I have a feeling im going to cut out the lock button...cheap cases never have a fitting cover over the lock button.

Take a nice thick black sharpie marker and use the black and coat around theht w camera opening, the blackened charpie marker around it should lesson light washing
 
Just got my black replicase from eBay. I have to say, it's great. Fit's with the side IS on it as well. Very fast shipping and a nice case for $8
