iPhone 4 OtterBox Case

The watermarks on both Otterboxs for my iPhone 3GS were terrible, I ended up removing the plastic covers & was happy with them. My iPhone 4 Otterbox, received 07/26/10, initially had a small watermark about 1 cm. in diameter that disappeared overnight the first night & has not returned. It is all very peculiar, the watermark on the 3GS lasted 3-4 weeks until i removed the plastic.
 
Is it gonna make a huge difference if the case was ordered off eBay? My uncle is the one who's buying it for me and when I told them they were available, he decided to order one off of eBay rather than the Otterbox site, for some reason....

That seller on eBay is simply ordering them from the Otterbox website, just like you or I would, then shipping to you. They don't have some magical stash of defenders. You'd be better off and faster ordering direct from Otterbox.

That's exactly what I was thinking when he told me he was ordering it off eBay. It would have made more sense to just order it from the Otterbox website because the case would come straight to ME, but I kept it to myself because he can be a real *******. :rolleyes: He ordered the case for me on 7/20 and he hasn't told me anything about it, yet. I go away to college next week, so I'm gonna pray that that case comes before then!

Better hope it's not one of those cheap knockoffs.
 
I would only buy something like this straight from the manufacturer, Amazon, or a verified 3rd party seller (ATT, Amazon vendor that is fulfilled by Amazon, etc.).

People are playing w/ fire .... expect to get burned every once in awhile.
 
I am still waiting for mine to ship. I ordered it back on July 22nd and still haven't heard anything. I needed two and got lucky enough to find one locally on craigslist. Anyone else had any luck getting theirs?
 
anyone have one they wanna sell my bro is going on vacation and needs one...he ordered but it might not make it in time

I ordered the same day as you and still haven't heard anything either. The 11th is 14 business days since I ordered, guess I'll wait till then before I call or email.

Thanks for the info. That's the only way I'd actually drop the 50 bones for a "situational" case for myself... If I got to see it in person for myself.
 
iPhone 4+Otterbox Defender=no more proximity sensor issues (for me, at least)

I am one of the fortunate that did not have any antenna issues with the naked phone, but had HORRIBLE issues with the proximity sensor. One I received my OBD case....proximity sensor works as it should. Is this just a lucky fluke for me...or have others experienced the same success as myself?

Personally, I LOVE this case and am thrilled with it's protection. The new design leaves it less bulky than the 3GS and the silicone picks up less pocket lint when I carry in my pocket rather than using the beltclip/holster.

I waited a week after receiving the case to post this just to make sure I wasn't imagining that the sensor was actually working right....now, I hope my words don't come back to bite me in the @$$ :p
 
I was lucky enough to receive my otterbox a couple of days after its release. I think its a great case that offers a lot of protection but I ma having a few issues. Coming from the 3gs model, it seems as though the screen protector is not as durable. It is probably me but I have had the case for a couple of weeks and it has not seen a lot of abuse but there are already blemishes that distract from the screen. Did not have this issue with my 3gs and had it over a year. Next is the silicone. I like the feel and cut but it tends to come off the edges quite a bit. I find myself readjusting it quite a bit. Anyone else having similar issues?

Yep, my wife uses one and mentioned last night the same problem. I saw her fitting the edges back in. Other than that, she likes it.
 
Ordered on the 21st inthe morning... Just got my shipping info tonight at otterbox's End of Day. Just in time to not receive it before my trip to Jersey I could have definitely used it for. At least its on it's way.
 
anyone having a problem with the rubber being loose on the top right... i took mine off to clean and now i cant seem to get the top right rubber to get to a flush fit with the plastic.
