iPhone 4 OtterBox Case

Got an email Friday about a bit more delay in the Defender's shipping date. They're taking $5 off my order too. (now averaging 14 business days from date of order)

I'm betting it will be hard to find on regular stores right now.
 
Quick question: Are the jack and dock plugs attached to the case or are they separate? Would be a pain to have to carry them around if they're separate.

Sweet! I still havent had an email with my tracking # for my iphone defender case yet. I ordered it about 10 days now. =/ I'm sure its soon. Maybe the end of this week. But, I received my ipad defender last week, and its amazing! You'll love it.

You may want to call and find out what happened to your IP4 defender case. Your dollar amount is zero as well is your quantity. BTW, same items I purchased.

does anybody know if the otterbox defender is compatible with the powersupport crystal film set? i'm thinking about hot swapping cases for when i don't need as much protection, but i've seen youtube videos of people getting an oil slick effect if they left their zagg on with the new otterbox.
 
So does this case not offer the waterproof protection that it's previous models provided?

Otterbox has never promised waterproof protection with any of their Impact/Commuter/Defender cases.

Only the Otterbox Armor series cases have promised waterproof protection.

Just ordered two Defenders for my 2 iphone 4. Ordered direct via phone and received a 15% discount for being military (retired) and free shipping. Sales rep did state it would take the full 14 days to ship due to the tremendous volume of orders.
 
CRAZY rainbow/watermark

hey guys I'm in Canada and I've had the otterbox for about 6 days now.

I know all the reviews say that the built in screen protector is perfect...wrong!! as the days go on, more and more annoying rainbow effect will build (its not as bad as watermark but very close it)

I'm kinda disappointed about this and i've been looking for baby powder around the house but i cant find any!! lol

so just be warned!

This is true. If you look at the OtterBox Facebook page, one user had watermarking (not rainbowing) so bad that it took up almost his entire screen. OtterBox replied that this was a manufacturer defect due to the screen protector being applied backwards when made, and that a replacement would be issued.

However, they are saying that the rainbowing (not watermarking) effect is "inherent" to the case and no replacements will be issued for this problem. Just great!

From what I hear baby powder will not fix the rainbow effect.

yeah i just tried it and it did NOT work, the rainbow effect seems to happen in different spots when you re install the case, its so weird!

does anybody know what causes this rainbow effect?

Apple had delays due to weather & volume with the iPad after the initial launch orders were filled, maybe Apple is run out of some guy's garage as well. It does not seem inconceivable that more than a single issue is contributing to the delays?
