someone asked this on there facebook page: (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/otterbox?ref=ts)

Al Justice: Quick ? Will you need a separate screen protector to avoid the bubbles? With my 3G case I would get bubbles of air between the screen of the case and the phone, but if you add a screen protector to the phn no more bubbles. I know this is common with all enclosed cases from all manufactures

OtterBox: The iPhone 4 cases have a slightly modified screen protector in order to alleviate this issue. The new screen protector was implemented for the iPod touch 3rd generation cases and so far we'ver heard good feedback.

Well thats really good to hear. Cant wait to see what they did.

The customer service rep I just spoke with at Otterbox said that none of the cases are shipping out for 7-10 business days.

There are apparently lots of new people working in the warehouse who have printed out shipping labels and emailed people shipping information prematurely.

So, 7-10 business days and with fedex ground its another 3-5 business days of shipping. :(

That's not what OB is saying on their facebook page. Some people have gotten theirs already and some are tracking theirs online. The rep told me that too. probably to cover their a**.

7 to 10 days is more like them covering their behinds.
Take the iPad defender case.
I ordered on the day it came out, I got it 4 days after I ordered it. I used regular fedex ground shipping.

Cash sale receipt!!!

OK I got the lovely email with the subject "cash sale receipt" LoL at 10:37am.

Fedex tracking # works but hasn't updated with delivery date. I'm just glad it's on the way looks like I will get it before we leave to Hawaii hehe.

Yes when I talked to the rep this morning he said mine would go out tonight or tomorrow but your right he also covered his but and said still could take 7-10 business days.

Same thing with the iPad defender here when I ordered it said same 7-10 days but I got it in just 3 business days with regular free shipping.

Probably, but my case is apparently in TN from CO. Still says will be at my house tomorrow, I am in the Houston area.

I understand that the customer service rep had to cover his butt by telling me 7-10 days, but it does seem a bit deceitful, if cases ARE shipping out already.

It's normal

I worked at a golf company part time back in the 1990's for extra cash-flow that was our standard answer to all customers.

Also keep in mind the "business days" is to cover their butts even further that means don't include weekend days when you count.

I caved and ordered an otterbox defender yesterday. $45 shipped was pretty steep but I still see myself dropping the phone while it's naked.

As for the nonsense screen protector, that thing is coming off as soon as it comes in.

Why did you just flush that money when you just threw away half of it's integrity.

Glad to hear this. Can't wait to see if this actually solves the problem. I placed my order yesterday around 11:33 AM CST. Still no shipping notice for me. I'm hoping for tomorrow.

The glass on the front of the iphone doesn't scratch. I just want a case to protect the phone from drops. I don't need an oil slick piece of plastic film collecting crap and looking like **** on there.

I originally called in an order yesterday at about 10 AM EST, but was not pleased with the lack of proficiency in taking information I was getting from the customer service rep... she then went on to explain "Expedited Shipping Won't Apply...." even though the option still existed.

I terminated the call and placed an order online instead. I was able to select Fedex overnight and the order went through.

I have had my case since about 1PM today.

Notes of importance (having had an Otterbox Defender on every previous generation iPhone): I am happy with the quality of the screen protector which comes with the unit. There is felt type material to buffer the back glass of the iPhone 4 which I believe holds the phone well within the inner structure. No problem with the weight added (though I appreciate the weight) and it does add some thickness to an otherwise very slim phone. Certainly changes the aesthetic somewhat.

How about some pictures?

Here are four pictures for those of you who might wish to see. Better quality would be possible, however not until tomorrow and by then I suspect you will have other images available.

what is the width of that without the beltclip. their website says 2.66 but it does not say if that is with or without the beltclip.

10%off plus free shipping???

I don't have an email either and I ordered mine via USPS last night too. I read that expedient shipping didn't matter so I get the cheapest possible. :p

Why are you guys paying for shipping??? The coupon code not working anymore? I used the coupon code and got 10% off the order and free fedex shipping. Make sure yall read this whole thread and get the discounts if it still works.

my tracking # works and order left Colorado earlier still no exact delivery date sure it will be Friday or Monday will let ya know when Fedex updates.

With regards to flash: The throw of the light appears not to be changed by the case. The cutout for the back facing camera and flash is well sculpted. "Flashlight camera apps" appear to throw the same amount as without the case.

Unfortunately I cannot measure the width for you at this time as I do not have a tool available to do so.
