With regards to flash: The throw of the light appears not to be changed by the case. The cutout for the back facing camera and flash is well sculpted. "Flashlight camera apps" appear to throw the same amount as without the case.

Unfortunately I cannot measure the width for you at this time as I do not have a tool available to do so.
Awesome! Can't wait for mine tomorrow.

Thanks for the info! How do the pictures with flash come out?

I have tested under all conditions that I photographed without the case (except true night darkness, as I have only had the case since this afternoon) and I cannot detect a difference in quality between no case and with case.

Excellent. Thanks for the response and information.

Here are four pictures for those of you who might wish to see. Better quality would be possible, however not until tomorrow and by then I suspect you will have other images available.

Do you have any kind of screen protector on with it in the Otterbox? Looks like the built-in screen protector is laying down very nicely with no visable bubbles at all. From just looking at your pics, it looks like they used more of a matte screen protector than clear. Does it affect the screen quality at all? That was one of my main concerns. Also, is the Apple logo cut out in the back just open or is there a built-in screen protector there? Thanks for sharing your pics and answering all our questions. ;)

I ordered ip4 Otterbox Defenders yesterday. I received confirmation almost immediately after I put in my order. This morning I got another email from Otterbox, a receipt. On it was my Fedex 2nd day tracking number! Yes, I can track it on the Fedex website. Wow!

I finally got a "sales order" email from Otterbox. :)

The Fedex site says that its been picked up, but no information about a delivery date.

Its a step forward anyhow!

Really interested in if the "water mark" issue has been resolved with the screen protector.

I pre ordered a Power Support Anti Glare just in case but if the issue has been resolved I'll cancel that order.

I place my order at 2:50 Today for iPad and iPhone 4 Defender Cases.
Got my Email Confirmation from OtterBox But No FedEx Tracking Yet.:)

Everyone that have gotten their cases already. I was wondering if you have any problems with the echo in the call (receiver end) that plagued the 3g cases? Also, the stats show that it is significally smaller than the 3g defender. For those that have both, is it really a big size difference? I was wondering becuase I plan to carry mine in a pocket.

Otterbox says they fixed that.

And until thats confirmed by a user, its just words. I really dont care if the bubble issue is there or not, i learned to live with it with my 3g, I just know that Otterbox has yet to disappoint me and I'm curious to see if they stuck by their word.

With regards to watermark and screen protector questions.

My 3GS experienced extreme watermarking. The pics I shared are bare iphone4 with the otterbox protector only on the front. It is seamless. It is the one area where I feel like otterbox may have improved the design, the rest just being manipulating the concepts to fit the form factor. Very pleasing touch and responsiveness. After one days use it seems more resistant to fingerprinting, though that may just be what I perceive after so little use.

I am happy to share and assist with questions I can answer.

I STILL didn't get a tracking email but I got an email saying "your otterbox is ready to order" no **** sherlock.

Thanks for the update and glad it sounds like they fixed the one flaw I had with the defender with my 3Gs.

From what I see, this has the exact same flash hole as just about every other case. I dont see how it couldnt have flash washout =(
