iPhone 4 Priority list

after reading through all the pages of this thread, I am so antsy for my iPhone as well..paying for it will be fun.....I ordered on July 3rd and got the moving up email July 8. Still waiting. This was at GSP in NJ. I went to AC last week and reserved one there for the hell of it, and then one at Willowbrook Mall. I bumped into a kid I knew and he told me I'd get the AC one, then GSP, and then Willowbrook. The furthest comes the soonest...

It is frustrating. Does anyone know any reason not to order one on line even though you are on a priority list? Take whatever comes first? Anyone else doing that?
If you order online, they will prepare your phone for shipment. This means using your upgrade and processing payment. It can take 7 days or more after this time to receive shipment.
Some users have had their iphone come in on the priority list only to find out their upgrade was already used for their online order.
There is no way to reverse the online order once it has reached this stage, so although you may have gotten the phone off the priority list today, you are now stuck waiting for shipment.
CambridgeSide Apple Store List
Can I get an update on cambridgeside people? For those who have gotten theirs- how long were you on the list (16/32?) For those still waiting, how long have you been waiting?

Listed at Cambridgeside and Boylston stores on 7/6 for 32GB - still waiting...
Listed at Chestnut Hill store on 7/9 for 32GB - still waiting...
Received a 'Moving up the list' email on 7/8, but have no idea which store its for.
I'm also on 2 Best Buy lists but dont have much hope there, as I listed with them on 7/7, and went yesterday to check how many above me had received theirs ... NONE. The Landmark Center Best Buy is liberal with showing you their list, has about 40-50 people on it and I'm #45 or so. But as I said, ZERO shipments in since 7/7.
Got the e-mail this morning that the 32gb model for my wife is in at Shadyside (Pittsburgh). Headed over there at some point this afternoon to pick it up. Been on the waiting list since 6/30.
Now, if only mine would show up...

I have been on there there list since july 3rd at fifth ave nyc. I called in yesterday to see if i was still on the list. The lady said yes but has no information on when i would get it. I told her I know of other apples stores that give people exactly where htey are on the list so the best she told me that I was still in the triple digits but that doesnt mean I will be waiting a lot longer or shorter.
I ordered the 32gig because a rep told me they are getting through the 32 gig list faster than the 16 gig.
I am on day 10 right now at the location that gets the most iphones and was told it would take 7 days.
Will post when I finally get it, don't think I will get it for another week though.

I am sooo frustrated!! I am on the waiting list in SLC but thought I might as well call the local wal-mart just to see. The rep told me that they still had one 16gb in stock and that he would hold it for me until I got there (I have never left work so quickly, lol) Anyways, I rush over there and he has the phone sitting right there and asks, "OK, are you the primary account holder?"
"Nope, but I'm an authorized user and know all the correct info."
"I'm sorry sir, it is Wal-Mart corporate policy to only sell cell phones to the primary account user!"
I tried to convince him otherwise, but he wouldn't budge! SO mad right now! Stupid Wal-Mart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you still don't have your phone, the Wal-Mart in West Valley still had one 16gb!

Ah finally someone from SLC!! Unfortunately I made a reservation on June 28th at the gateway and I still haven't heard back
Now I kind of want a white one but of course they aren't saying anything about that either.
I would feel much better if the people on the Boylston and/or CambridgeSide priority lists report back today that they received an e-mail for pickup.
Called them today and asked some questions. Best I could get was that they were moving through the list quick. Seems pointless to go order it anywhere now as Id expect before the end of the week hopefully.

Agreed. I just called and was told they are moving through rather quickly. I'm hoping to have it by Friday. As I understand it, CS is a high volume store... anyone else get that feeling?
Yes it seems that way to me too. I went on these lists seriously thinking it would be a couple days before I got the phone, based on how quick it was for the ipad, haha. When I tried to get an ipad for my wife early June, every place was sold out around Boston/Cambridge, yet it took one day for Cambridgeside to call me back, and i think 2 days for the Boylston store.

My iPhone came in today- but I'm out of town and can't claim the reservation after 16 days on the list. To make matters worse, attempting to buy an iPhone 4 anywhere but the Shadyside Apple Store would be a major inconvenience because I'm returning a 3GS- that means if I would try and get one from Wal Mart, BB, AT&T or Apple online, I would first have to return the 3GS to Shadyside, wait 72 hours for my upgrade eligibility to be reset, then order and wait the approx. 2 weeks for my order to arrive. I already sold my 3G, so I wouldn't have a phone for about 17 days under these conditions. I need to do an exchange at Shadyside, and I missed my shot by 2 days. I've tried time and again to get someone at that store to help, but nobody cares. The best they can say is that they might have some walk in phones on the 26th, and I can line up and try my luck then. I might make one last ditch call to a manager today, does anyone think it's even worth it?
