iPhone 4 Priority list

well, i picked mine up this afternoon (16gb black) and it's really amazing. i put myself on the priority list at the tice's corner NJ store on june 28th, so i waited a little over 2 weeks.


believe me, it's well worth the wait. :)
 
Anyone in Vancouver WA or PDX area? I've been on the list for like 2 1/2 weeks now and getting really annoyed with Apple. i would have had the phone if i would have just bought it from AT&T. now I'm on 2 best buys lists, 3 radio shacks and 3 Apple stores lists... WTF? I wouldn't be so desperate to get one if i hadn't put the 4.0 OS on my 3G, but now it runs so slow... man apple had that planned... OS 4 works great on IP4 & 3GS and horrible on 3G...they just wanted to make sure we'd upgrade.

OK well that and after playing with a IP4 i really want one!

got my name on the list on 28th June, got the moving up email on July 8.
still no pickup mail yet.
was looking on the net for the priority list and google brought me here.
and joined MacRumors, when i wake up, d 1st thing i go on is, mail on my 3GS, this iphone 4 had made me a salve to yahoo.

Thanks! I am not sure I can go today or tomorrow. Will call them Friday to see if they are still available.
 
I am on two different lists, one starting 6/30 (for a 16gb) at the Domain store in North Austin, the other since 7/6 (for a 32 gb) at the Barton Creek store. I was hoping that the 16gb reservation would have been in by now, unfortunately after 14 days, no dice.

Thankfully I started calling my local Best Buys. Picked up my 32gb at 3:15 this afternoon at the Best Buy in South Austin (Brodie & 290).

This is my second try at the iPhone 4, had a 16gb since the day after launch, but was forced to return it because something was stuck between the screen and the glass.
 
Two days ago I gave up after ordering on the 29 and decided to order through AT&T online. Today I got my pickup email. They were nice enough to let me cancel through AT&T and I picked up my 16g this morning. Got on list on 6/29 in Memphis, TN and received email today at 8:45 am.

She said they have had as high as 250 people on the list so I'm guessing I was near that 250ish mark when I was put on the list. She said they get shipments in of 50 phones sometimes but lately have not been getting shipments daily which is why I have not yet received my phone within their week time line.

I have also been on the list at Eastview mall, since 1 day earlier than you.

I remember you said in another post that a store employee told you the average waiting time was about a week. I have been told the list was very long and I should be expecting a 2-3 week wait, and I got this info after attempting to ask many employees there. Most of them did not want to give any estimate, and just told me the list was VERY long.

I have also called 3-4 times for the past week and a half, but none of them agrees to check my place on the list. They claimed not having the authority to look up that info. Someone did try but failed to access my info.

I don't know what charm you have that they actually gave you the waiting time -- a week, and now giving you a number on the list and their stocking situation over the phone.

I ordered a 16gb and that must take longer, but these employees in store or on the phone didn't even ask me what i ordered when they told me the list was really long... so i don't know... I'm not expecting anything till next week.

Your lucky :), the only reason they let you cancel was because your item was not prepared for shipment yet.

Dammit! I'm on the list at the domain as well. You got lucky, I called all the best buys here in Austin yesterday with no luck.

Anyone who has found one outside of waiting on any kind of list is lucky. Ive called Radio Shacks here multiple times, Best Buy, Walmart, doesnt seem like theyve ever had them in stock.

I know! I expected there to be more people on here. I dont know how the list is looking only knowing that you and I are on it. Lol.
 
Finally!

Today around 1 in the afternoon I got an email from Apple telling me my 16GB iPhone was ready to pick up! I was on the list since June 27th at the Valley Fair mail Apple Store. So those who have reservations from around June 27 through July 1st should be expecting an email soon.
 
I got my email!!!

After 18 days, at 1:41PM, I got the "Pick Me Up" email!! I wasn't really looking for it, since I just expected another day of disappointment, especially after noon, but here's how it happened:

My house is being remodeled, and I had to get toilet paper from the garage at 10:30PM. There are no lights in that part of the house, at all. And since we're making a two-car garage, there was a kinda half-doorway to get there, and I needed a light. I grabbed my iPod touch, since it was the closest and easiest thing to get. The home screen wasn't bright enough, so I tapped the Safari icon. Once I got the TP, I looked the my iPod screen, my email was up...and what'djya know? Something from Apple saying (from memory) "Congratulations, your iPhone is waiting for you at your local Apple Store". I'll be picking it up tomorrow between 11AM and 11:30AM. I'm excited :D


One question though, if I don't want to give AT&T my social security number, is there ANY way around it? With my U-Verse TV, I just refused, and they were ok with it (I got U-Verse). Will/can this work the same way? Is cell phone service different because of the contract?

They need your social for a credit check. Also to report severe issues of missed payments.

Went there yesterday, they had two in stock, but I reached after 8:30 so they could not process the upgrade! ARRRGH!! I guess I will wait it out on the Apple store!.
