iPhone 4 Priority list

The priority list is a load of crap. I had a manager at AT&T tell me straight up that he had people fill out a form to be notified but if he has 10 customers at the store ready to purchase, he doesn't even bother with the stack of customers on the list. :rolleyes:

Edit: IT does make sense though. Why wait for someone to drive however many minutes when you can make a sell asap.

The Apple employee just asked for an e-mail address, not an Apple ID. I gave him an e-mail address I check more regularly than the one associated with my Apple ID.

So I am probably not on the list then? Great... :mad:

I went to the apple store about a week ago and I signed in with my appleID, the guy had me do it myself, and it came up on the machine that I had ordered a 16GB Black IPhone4 but I never got a confirmation email either. I called them and they checked in the computer and said that I was in there and they confirmed my email address but I'm still worried that I'm not going to get an email saying that they are in. I would call them and have them check.

Well I hope he gets FIRED!!!! I am in Mass also, i spoke to someone in the cambridge and in the newbury street area. and was told the same thing. i hope i have luck with this..i may give up altogether soon.

I got an conformation email...within a minute after i gave them my email....if you still didn't get one GO BACK!!!
 
Just got my "pick up" email. Apple Store South Coast Plaza. Got on priority list Friday afternoon for a 32GB.
 
AT&T takes 7-10 days to ship out the iPhone 4. I doubt the Apple Store won't get another shipment for the next week. Maybe Best Buy won't, but not Apple's own retail stores. I hope I'm right.

Well I'm on Apple's Priority list since 24th morning and have also got an order through ATT store... so shouldn't be a problem now. Will be getting an iPhone from at least one of them this week.

Can't wait to try out multitasking functionality with my apps!
 
My reservation disappeared from the apple store app last night....got on the priority list frost thing Saturday. I called this morning to see if she could check and she said she did not have access to that information. But I explained the situation and she said it should be fine and not to worry. I am still worrying....anyone else have this happen??
 
Reserved last Friday 10AM (apparently 1st day they were allowing reservations at this store). Just got this:

YES!!!! I thought it was just me!!! I called the store, and they checked and said that my reservation was fine and still in the system. I was so worried.

Talk to the manager of the store, sometimes the sales people are stupid(no offense if anyone works at apple).

The sales person told me, "i don't know, and just come in and maybe we can offer you some tech support". Like I said speak to the manager about these things;)
 
I was put on the priority list just after 9 p.m. last Thursday and still nothing... (outside of the initial confirmation email)...stupid Grand Rapids, MI store...I guess we're not important enough....or maybe UPS doesn't deliver there until later??
 
So, the way i'm figuring...its about a seven day wait time between when you get on the list and when you get your pick up email. I haven't seen anyone who reserved a phone and has had to wait longer than seven days. I hope my theory is correct!!! ;)
 
Today is my seventh day of waiting on the priority list. Crossing my fingers that I get an email today!
 
I got on the list on the 24th and got an email confirmation 5 minutes ago to come in to pick up my phone. This is for the 32GB version. Not a bad wait at all, less than a week. Very happy. :D

I ordered the same way but have not rec'd any emails. wth
 
I have a feeling I am going to be fully out of luck.

I got on the list Friday, waiting the pick up email. Leaving town tomorrow AM for 5 days.

I suspect I will get a pick up email sometime while I am out of town.

Perhaps I can sell my reserved phone spot?
 
Yesterday, I put myself on the priority list and was told that when they get new shipments in, they immediately go to the people on there making it nearly impossible as a walk-in.

Sounds better than that AT&T manager... though I wish I would've put myself on it earlier than try to unsuccessfully purchase one as a walk-in all this week.:(

(And this was at the Boylston one in Boston, MA)
