Wouldn't it be brilliant if you were the only cellphone carrier for an entire country. Oh, the monopoly you'd have! You could do whatever you want and live like kings and everyone'd just have to suck it up ;)

Dude, seriously?!

Well not only but one of a few

----------

What are they a Monopoly for?? Buying an iPhone? Just get one from Apple.co.nz or Trademe :p

Perhaps one day Telecom, 2 Degrees or Voda will give us better data plans.. $6 for 50 mb is lousy..

Sadly Apple made a huge mistake giving Vodafone the iPhone.... Apple was keen to bring the iPhone to NZ so they signed what they thought was an okay deal. Vodash*t fuc*ed them.....

What are the carriers like over there? Lots of healthy competition or stagnent high prices like here?

For three iPnones on a Family Plan:

Sprint $160/month ($199 NZD): Poor reception, slow data speeds, unlimited usage.
Verizon $200/month ($248 NZD): Excellent reception, adequate data speeds, 2GB of data.
AT&T $170/month ($211 NZD): Poor reception, fastest data speeds, 2GB/month.

Yes, the location definitely matters. I believe that AT&T has the fastest data (on average), but reception for calls varies greatly depending on where you live. Verizon is generally accepted as the best for not dropping calls.

I guess so because on his 4s he has full bars no dropped calls fast 3g etc and thats AT&T where as in Verizon in michigan drops calls like its nobodies business:eek:

Hey guys new update to apple nz online small but it is pointing towards how long we have to wait.basically it says next to 4s picture looking to buy iPhone 4 and takes you onlyto the vodaphone store this might mean it is coming later then expected or that there issues with vodafone have cleared up:D

It points you to the Apple online store as well?

Everything about it is remarkable? Yes. Including the price? No.
