Yup yup

I assume when Apple NZ starts to offer the iPhone 4S on their website it will be

16GB: $1099
32GB: $1279
64GB: $1399 OMG :(

nah i think they would have some sense an make it cheaper:D as we witness the macbook air price to drop by 200 dollars and so has the mac mini perhaps this trend will carry on with the iPhone 4s?????

My guess is that Telecom and 2Degrees are New Zealand exclusive companies. Vodafone is a huge company that is based in the UK and other places in Europe and overseas. Apple gave the iPhone to Vodafone without New Zealand in mind, only other, bigger countries that Vodafone is present in. :(

i don't think that telecom is nz specific i believe t is also in australia i do not know

It had better! I reckon $900 for the 16GB, $1000 for the 32GB and $1100 for the 64GB is a more reasonable price. I'd buy if that was the pricing. Hopefully it will be for the 4S.

Nah, its not in Auz. It is owned by Auzzies but it isn't a carrier in the actual country.

The prices in other countries didn't go down. They just added a higher price for the 64gb.

In that case I'm ****ed.

What would one pay for 450 anytime minutes, unlimited N&W, unlimited data, and unlimited texting in NZ?

For 2 limes on one account I pay $130 a month.

Unlimited? Your talking about New Zealand remember. You can leave your dreams of unlimited anything back in Europe of America or whatever high tech place you came from.

You think thats bad? 2Degrees reception is a P.O.S. There is only 3G coverage in the main urban centres (auckland, Wellington, Chrch) and its mega slow 2G for the rest of the country.

i thought 2 degrees was good so in terms of coverage what is the best carrier????

it is so funny to see what the question was originally and what it is now :)

Yeah, its wandered onto general discussion about NZ carriers and Apple's presence in the country :p

So anyway, back on topic: Looks like we'll be getting the iPhone at the end of the year. Hoping the 16GB isn't going to be over 1grand at least...

Its Apple's fault really though. They should give the iPhone 4S to Telecom as well, so there'll be more competition and choice. Because if there's two carriers who get it they'll both compete to be the first one to release it, so it'll get here quicker and for cheaper. But since Vodafone is the only one with it they're not gunna go to any trouble... As far as they're concerned, they're the only carrier so they think they can do whatever the f they want...
