i really can't wait to get mine, i want to ask it so many retarded questions its not even funny. OH i wonder if it tells jokes or will answer to knock knock jokes????!!!!!!! (this is completely serious btw)
What's nice is that Siri seems to give different answers for the same question sometimes

Can't wait to get mine. A least, I'll be able to try out iOS 5 tomorrow. My phone ships in 1-2 weeks. 🙁

I never asked about CDMA locked or not. I asked, is the GSM radio, on a CDMA based iphone (i.e. Verizon or sprint iphone), have its SIM-GSM card locked as well. I want to be able to put a foreign SIM in while traveling in other countries with a Sprint/Verizon iphone.
Siri dictation isn't quite perfect...
In the macworld video when he does dictation in the notepad, it calls the iPhone 4s the "iPhone 4 ass". Really! You can see him smile and get a bit distracted, but go on as if it's perfect.
I'd think that's one thing Siri would know... 🙂

When you say, "Send a text message to my brother Evan," will it default to the new imessage service or will it send him a text to his phone number?
Or will it automatically detect that he is on iOS5?

Am I the only one that thinks this feature is kind of "toyish"?
Setting alarms, finding restaurants, knowing the weather is nice but it's just a verbal google search engine or an audio macro. And it can't even read back my email? That's something I need on the road.
And there's just too much unnecessary verbal confirmation on Siri's part. It repeats everything too much. Just a couple of beeps indicating it understands would be ok then go do what you were told.
I predict after 3 weeks you guys will use this just as much as you use FaceTime now.

I thought the same at first. Watch a bunch more of the video demos, the software abilities go beyond simple voice commands and dictation. It allows you to operate your phone without having to actually type on it etc.

Siri looks great but honestly, I'm unsure whether or not after asking it funny questions for the first two days, if I will actually use it regularly in my life.

If I pre-order the phone to her address in the US, can I use the warranty later under my name? do you have any suggestion how should I buy it while I am outside the US and my friend is there? How long it takes to receive the phone?
