Import scan is the release from customs.
Arrival (physically arrived), Import (cleared customs), Departure (physically left).
I give up. My phone will arrive when it arrives. If it doesn't come on or before Oct 1st, then I will be very angry and call Apple and UPS and complain. Until then, I am done following the tracking info. I'll just have them text updates to my phone so I know when to stay home for the delivery.
Once it's cleared customs is there a way to contact ups and have it shipped over night? At my expense of course.
I am in the same boat with 1 exception, my delivery says 9/27 end of day. Pretty clear that is not happening.
3 days and its moved from China to Hong Kong
No they wont, they wont leave HK until tomorrow around 6:30. The flight that left today had no departure from HK tracked, no arrival to anchorage, and no departure from anchorage. So that means ours will be shipped on tomorrows UPS63. Wich will get to louisville about 1:00AM on Friday morning. Our phones will be transferred to our local hubs on friday evening and through the weekend and then out for delivery on Monday.
Okay, thanks. My tracking is a little weird as it arrived in Louisville then departed Hapeville, GA then cleared customs in Louisville. Interpret as you will.
One thing though, tracking was stuck at import scan in Louisville and I woke up to "Out for delivery" so it doesn't exactly update that fast.

Mine has the same arrival scan in Louisville, KY, United States 09/26/2012 1:23 A.M, but nothing after that
I am hoping it's on it's way and just missed a scan.UPS63 runs everyday. We will be on tomorrows UPS63. Same as regular flight are the same number from destination to destination each and everyday.
Guess we will know by tomorrow. Seems my tracking only updates once a day. For some reason I keep hoping it'll somehow show up on Friday.
Do you think it has left HK even though tracking does not reflect it? I would love that to be the case.
I concur. I think the tracking updates from within the US are being updated regularly, but the ones outside of the US not so much. We should have seen an arrival / departure scan in Anchorage if our phones were on that flight.
there's one more flight from hong kong landing in a few minutes in anchorage, but it is very unlikely that it has anything to do with our shipment since it is not going on to louisville like flight 63 does...
We can always have wishful thinking but everyone else who landed in anchorage had an arrival scan and departure scan. I mean our shipment did miss one of the arrival scans in China so maybe our RFID pallet tracker is messing up. One could only hope!

That's a good point. But it did only land in anchorage a couple hours ago. I guess I'm hoping the update is coming soon lol
I think I see a pattern.
All of us so far that have responded are "Expedited". Some I have seen that received an Import scan earlier in the day were "Express".
Instead of blaming Customs for dragging their feet, it appears the delay is the result of Apple's shipping decisions and UPS holding the "Expedited" shipments until the "Express" have cleared.

I do not doubt they will be scanned. I guess in this case I'm just hoping ups is slow on updating the package status. How soon have people seen their status change after it arrived in anchorage? Or departed from anchorage?
