Alright I might just be the threads only conspiracy theorist but....

In many of these justly disgruntled posts the common denominator is 9/23 7:35p Zhengzhou arrival. I just skim for it now and yep, there it is like a black thumb print.

Things just seemed to go haywire from there with some of us getting erroneous scans leaving and then coming back to China and some of having no updates for 4 days.

I think maybe no one got out and the scans were in error and their was a major problem with the shipment either lost/stolen/damaged/forgotten idk.

I have seen 1 or 2 day delays in the post but nothing along the lines of the crazy tracking and the 3 + days in the twilight zone.

I would love to know what happened but sadly I have no confidence that UPS will ever offer an explanation given the fact that they are clearly over their heads with this Apple contract considering the sales and the other launch issues.

Hopefully we really did see Korea and just landed in Alaska but....

I'm also one of the 9/23 7:35PM ZhengZhou group. The last tracking I had was arrival in Korea at 8:30 PM on 9/25. UPS finally told me to contact the shipper . Apple said that they cannot launch a formal investigation until I officially miss the scheduled tracking delivery date of EOD 9/27. He did acknowledge that there are "several" (who knows what that means) phones that have no activity. It is possible that they slipped through without scanning and may mysteriously appear at some point. They could also be held up in customs.

I'm just perturbed because I'm leaving town early tomorrow. He did tell me not to try to redirect the shipment to either the local UPS Store or for hold at the regional center. Those actions would just cause additional delays and disruptions to the process. So--I'm on hold until EOD tomorrow when I can force them to launch the official investigation and come up with a reasonable alternative to get a unit into my hands.

I'm trying to keep hope alive but as time goes on with no new updates, the glass is rapidly becoming shattered.

10:30 HongKong - we won't leaving until tomorrow morning about 6 central time. Based on this site http://www.hongkongairport.com/flightinfo/eng/cargo_dep.html UPS63 leaves at 7:15pm HK time. Then stops in Alaska to refuel and then to Louisville.

it may have already left. i found flight ups63 from hong Kong landed in anchorage a while ago and is about to leave for Louisville in 20 minutes.

No way UPS's original date of 9/27 will happen, but it seems like Friday might. Was this flight UPS 61? I was following 61 yesterday, Incheon>Anchorage>Louisville, assuming I was on it

It's sick, but I'm over the moon happy we're in Alaska lol

I was wondering the same.

Based on previous experiences with Apple online store orders, don't think ours will have to go thru US Customs.

Import scan at 12:07 am and departure scan at 3:43 am. I don't see a separate "Release from customs" unless you can point me to a different source where I can find that information. This was Express.

The UPS site says it will deliver by end of day today, but the man I just talked to said that's not going to happen.

Sucks....it's just sitting there for like 12 hours.

Well, what I meant was. The double shipping updates were for both boxes. They both didn't ship at once. That's why it looked like the shipment was bouncing back and fourth. Since you ordered two phones, they must have just lumped them together under the same tracking information. You'll probably receive one and then the other a day or two later.

My iPhone is in the same boat. Sucks. I just noticed that it never departed from Hong Kong, which sucks. I hope they AT LEAST make the Oct 1st estimate.

Import scan is the release from customs.

Arrival (physically arrived), Import (cleared customs), Departure (physically left).

That would be my bet. They would almost have to, to meet the 10/1 delivery quoted. Will sit in customs all morning tomorrow most likely.
