People stuck in Hong Kong since 10:30 am 36 hours ago, the last flight to anchorage left about an hour ago and we did not get a departure scan yet.

Anyone know which airports UPS would fly out and into (Louisville to Atlanta)?

I'm trying to see the scheduled flights from Louisville to Atlanta but not sure which airports.
 
I'm in the batch that showed up in Louisville early this morning, but didn't make it any further (no import scan). I'm showing delivery today still, so I asked UPS.

Me:
Hi, I have some conflicting info on tracking 1ZV... It is showing to be delivering today, but also still showing to be in Louisville, so one of those isn't accurate. Can you tell me which is true please?



UPS:
I was checking the information and making sure of it, but due to the amount of Iphones that we are moving if your package doesn't have a arrival scan at your city it will be delivered tomorrow. UPS and Apple are working together to increase capacity to meet the demand; we are committed to moving these shipments as quickly as possible to their destination


That obviously didn't turn out to be the case for some of you who showed up in Louisville a couple of days ago, but I'm going to hold out hope for this latest promise and expect mine tomorrow.

Fool me 8 times Apple and UPS, shame on me....

KSDF - Louisville Intl Airport (Louisville, KY) and I would guess ATL on your side.

Only if the shipper pays extra for saturday deliveries. Which I doubt Apple did.

Mine also has been sitting in KY since yesterday morning. Still shows scheduled delivery today. Not looking good, I stayed home today in part so I can sign for it. Of course I have to go out of town tomorrow so who knows when I'll see it, really wanted to bring it with me :mad:

But my original delivery date was October 5th so if I do get it sometime next week I suppose it's still early. :rolleyes:

Mine was ordered from Apple.com at 6am est on preorder day. Black 32gb AT&T. My co-worker ordered his later in the day from AT&T, he got his on release day. :mad:

10:42am update... BTW, I'm in Central Florida, still no update.

It wouldn't piss me off so much, except that people who ordered long after me have had their phones for DAYS already and for some reason, some people got express vs. what we got, expedited. In fact, my wife has hers as of yesterday... ordered shortly *after* mine. wtf. Package mapper gives my package an average speed of 14.4 miles per hour at the moment. I could have biked there and gotten the damn thing home faster.

I sent an email to Mr. Cook, but I'm sure its falling on deaf ears....
 
I'm part of the 9/26 Louisville group that got in at 2:02 am. Still there with no movement.

I was hoping to have it in Ohio by Friday before noon. But looks like I won't now :(.

So, according to UPS, they don't even have an expected delivery date for me, and everyone elses expected date is most likely just a placeholder.

OMG the Live Chat just gave me that SAME LINE word for word. they are TOTALLY copying and pasting this bs. All I know is if my phone is here by the expected date of TOMORROW by 1030AM as APPLE gave me when they finally shipped my order, there will be a lot of cursing in New Jersey.

I got this reply from the live chat

We realize that the system shows a scheduled delivery date for today but, we would recommend for you to please continue tracking this package to obtain the current status since, we do not want to speculate and provide inaccurate information regarding when exactly the package is going to be delivered.

The last information we show is from 09/26. The last scan on a package in transit is not necessarily an indication of its current location. If your package has not received a scan for more than 24 hours, it is still moving and will not be scanned again until it reaches the next point

Its seems that anyone with expedited shipping is being cleared way after everyone with express shipping. So those of us with expedited probably won't see our phones until Monday, according to UPS.

but again they won't confirm or deny anything. They just keep copying and pasting the answers to everyone that calls or writes in.
 
Woke up and mine made it to Ontario, CA. It departed there at 5:41am. It's about an hour + drive to the last stop in Aliso Viejo, where hopefully I can pick it up on the way to work. What a thrill that would be. Fingers crossed. Looks like they only update at night. Very odd.

I did receive a pre delivery email overnight advising me to expect delivery today between 10:30 and 2:30 (LMAO), but I also received one Tuesday advising me to expect delivery yesterday. The UPS overnight flight arrived at the airport about an hour ago.

I have exactly the same tracking info. Mine still shows delivery for today, so does UPS rep. They mention that due to large volume, their systems are not updating as fast as it should for all customers. Someone already had their import scan showing after the Louisville 1:23 am, while mine does not. I am still hoping for a delivery today.

So this means we should expect it Saturday or Monday!! HA! Hopefully they're right about tomorrow.

But I have a real issue with them saying they're working on increasing capacity. There were plenty of estimates of the pre-order sales volume before 9/14, then they had exact #'s after 9/14. So demand shouldn't have been a surprise so they had plenty of time to plan ahead for capacity. Obviously UPS isn't up to the task. Wonder if this would've been an issue if Jobs was still around or if this would have been one of the minor details he would've insisted on being right ahead of time.

Yikes... mine just came but my wife's stuck w/ the 10:30am HK crew. Looks like it's a long weekend if I play with mine before she gets hers ;)

Ditto... I am one of the 'expedited' not Express folks, so we are likely in the same boat. Will be calling Apple today (maybe UPS, too) as I need to travel tomorrow afternoon. Have a 'my choice' notice of delivery late today, so am going to try to hold them too that. Probably no chance, but ya never know.... :(
