OK - I JUST spoke with a UPS supervisor... This is what he told me word for word...

Tracking information is broken. EVERY package that arived in KY by 5pm YESTERDAY is out for delivery TODAY.

He will call my local UPS to confirm the truck is out for delivery.

He seemed to know what he was talking about... So there is a glimmer of hope here... I will keep you all posted if I hear more.

I was a 2:02am 9/26 KY arival...

I have the same arrival into Louisville but nothing has updated, if it can get to Miami and out for delivery, WTH with Bayonne, NJ...it's not that off the cuff....UGH

We live in Gables and delivery is expected at 5-7pm. I would keep an eye opened for the UPS guy just incase, especially if you have the same times/dates as the pic that I posted.

I think we are all waiting on the import scan.. As soon as we see that.. we should see a lot of movement.. but until that happens.. no telling when our phones will leave

I am at my office in Linthicum, and with BWI being right down the road, I am praying I'll get lucky today. You'd think that after I've gotten my hopes up, and then been consequently let down day after day, I'd stop by now

I'm glad you do...I got nothin and I'm in Delaware.

Delivery dates are apparently meaningless at this point anyway... But you'd think they'd want to set expectations appropriately.

Here are the dates I've been told:
*10/5 (when I placed the order)
*9/28 (when I received shipping confirmation)
*9/26 (My Choice email notification)
*9/27 (Current tracking delivery date - between 9:45 & 11:45)

So instead of just meeting our original expectations (10/5 in my case), they've raised our expectations and then disappointed us. Way to shoot themselves in the foot.

This is my UPS tracking - with a delivery date of 9/27 (Never gonna happen)
Talked with UPS live - asked why it was still showing that it has not left Korea, and he told me that some shipments are being held in Korea because there is not enough room to ship them all to the US. So according to him, my phone is still sitting in Korea, with NO known date that it will leave! Oh, but he did apologize that he didnt know more? SERIOUSLY?

Question: has anyone received their phone with a status update of it still being in Asia?

I'm in the same boat. Exactly my tracking history. Tracking high five! Pretty mad. Then again, this always happen to me. First iPad, I had to drive for two hours to go get it on time, because FedEx wouldn't deliver.

Apple vs UPS

It wouldn't piss me off so much, except that people who ordered long after me have had their phones for DAYS already and for some reason, some people got express vs. what we got, expedited. In fact, my wife has hers as of yesterday... ordered shortly *after* mine. wtf. Package mapper gives my package an average speed of 14.4 miles per hour at the moment. I could have biked there and gotten the damn thing home faster.

I sent an email to Mr. Cook, but I'm sure its falling on deaf ears....

I don't know if enough of us comminicate I have hope. Please share your exp with Apple PLEASE !

I wanted to know why some of us recieved Express vs Expidited because clearly in this epic mess it makes a huge difference.

UPS told me over the phone it was Apple and thier criteria who recieved Express vs Expidited. I was told this twice over the phone and I decided to get a screen shot of the chat.

Apple told me expidited vs express does not exsist for them. There contract states 5 days out of China and that is it. There is no option for express and we all paid the same for those us who ordered through the Apple Store. The only reason from thier perspective would be stock and demand but all oders once delivered to the UPS warehouse are equal. She escalted my request to 2nd level supervisor for clarification and to confirm.

Depends on who you believe but I am leaning towards Apple. I told her that UPS is saying Apple decided and it's creating a lot of anomosity since many of us who orders got to the warehouse at the same time are getting 3 day + difference when many order after etc... I thinks UPS is in trouble on this, if enough of us complain I imagine Fed Ex will be back. She was very concerned when I told her what the UPS reps were saying and asked me if I would send the screen shot to apple corp. If UPS is truly misrepresenting the situation that is truly a company I don't ever want to do biz with.

unless.. UPS is so far behind and our statuses just haven't been updated.. IMO, I still don't see that happening until we get an import scan.. dang it

For all of you who have packages that arrived in Louisville early this morning will more than likely be receiving your packages 9/28 at the end of the day. I did a live chat with a UPS representative yesterday and she told me my delivery date would be 9/28. Here is my tracking info.

Yeah for anyone that has the KY 1:12am arrival with no update and it's getting delivered to the Mid Atlantic/East Coast area that talks to UPS directly (or a supervisor) please post updates here. UPS updates suck, but since there are a larger number of phones being moved with them NOT being scanned due to them trying to move them as fast as possible to their destination is garbage.

Bottom Line...UPS needs disaster recovery training and planning better than this. I'd rather wait and know where my packages are as close to real time as possible.

Yeah, it took 25 hrs for my dads phone to receive the "import scan." Who knows how long our batch will take....
