OK - I JUST spoke with a UPS supervisor... This is what he told me word for word...

Tracking information is broken. EVERY package that arived in KY by 5pm YESTERDAY is out for delivery TODAY.

He will call my local UPS to confirm the truck is out for delivery.

He seemed to know what he was talking about... So there is a glimmer of hope here... I will keep you all posted if I hear more.

I was a 2:02am 9/26 KY arival...

I just got hope after reading this update and then the UPS man arrived at my work without a package :( Has anyone received their package despite no tracking updates from Louisville?
 
Funny... Even in the UPS chat queue I get cut in front of... While waiting for an agent it tells you "you are currently number 15 in the queue"... Then it jumped to 16.

Have Apple/UPS ever heard of FIFO?

Yeah, it took 25 hrs for my dads phone to receive the "import scan." Who knows how long our batch will take....


Yeah this blows.. My wife's phone around 6 hrs to get import scan.. but hers went from China to New York to Louisville.. Seems like the flights that go Alaska to Louisville sit a lot longer before import scans.. wonder why this is?

Both my deliveries are holding strong at 9/27 end of day delivery....even though neither has updated in like 24+ hours.

Either UPS is a total cluster or their tracking system has completely stopped working. Or, it could be a little of both

Rick: This is a fiasco. *I would like to strongly request that my shipment be upgraded to express.
Victor L.: Unfortunately it cannot be upgraded, the package is currently inaccessible during transportation and we cannot retrieve it from there to upgrade it.
Rick: Big Brown has really dropped the ball on this one. *Have a nice day.
Victor L.: We hope to meet your shipping needs as soon as possible to continue doing business with you. Goodbye.
 
For all of you who have packages that arrived in Louisville early this morning will more than likely be receiving your packages 9/28 at the end of the day. I did a live chat with a UPS representative yesterday and she told me my delivery date would be 9/28. Here is my tracking info.

And a UPS agent told me via chat, like 15 minutes ago, that it will be 10/1 (same tracking progress). And this was the 2nd time this morning that I got this 10/1 response :mad:

Honestly, I think I need to be done stalking UPS chat, tracking, etc. I'm losing sleep over here!

Exactly. It will come when it comes people, being an ass on UPS chat isn't going to make it show up any faster.

I don't agree with being an ass, but I am 100% in board with much of the disdain for the way that UPS has treated this entire process.

Here's to hoping Apple will stop using UPS after this fiasco, at least until they can get it together. Everyone needs to call Apple if UPS misses the date that Apple quoted you in your email. I know that if I leave the office tomorrow without mine and the wifey's iPhone 5 I sure will.

Agreed. It amazes me that UPS was not prepared to handle the work load, can't provide any sort of logical update to any one (just look at the conflicting information from UPS in this post alone), and seem to be flying by the seat of their pants.

I have 1 package that has gone from China to Hong Kong over the last 4 days, 4. It's almost like UPS is magically hoping the issue sorts itself out. Do thy have a plan/process to get these packages delivered? I am sure they do, but they are not communicating that to anybody.

Their company is a shipping company, that's how they get their income.....

Does anyone know the route for UPS for Canada. my phone is currently sitting at KY as of 1:12AM this morning.
I find it strange that it went to KY from Alaska in the first place. They should have separated all Canadian bound phones to come to a Canadian hub or something.

No clue at all. My girlfriends phone is on that route and shes being shipped expedited as well. Maybe they shipped from a different factory?

I feel your frustration with this and I know UPS is having issues, but I don't think Victor L did this personally.

+1! At least it shouldn't be sitting there waiting for customs clearence or god-knows-what...
