I preordered at 4:05 am EST on the 14th. Mine says shipping Oct 2. Neither phone has been charged from my account yet.

I feel like a kid at Christmas.

Funny thing just happened .. charged my credit card for my 32GB Black due to deliver 10/5 but my wifes 16GB white
due to deliver on 10/2 not charged on credit card

Mine also just went to preparing for shipment. I ordered a 32gb black AT&T phone through the apple store app about 11am PST on the 14th.

It now says the order can't be cancelled and still shows an Oct. 5 delivery.

I ordered the same phone, 9 hours before you, and I am still processing.

Ordered a 32black and 16white for my wife from apple.com about 4:10am eastern. Both still processing--oct 5th.
Talked to ATT corp store today and guy acted like it shouldnt be an issue to get phones there if i came to the store and waited as soon as I get off work. I work night shift and get off at 5am. He also said if I missed the first shipment that they would be handing out numbers for the afternoon shipment that is coming tomorrow too. He acted like they were getting a boatload of these phones. He couldnt say how many but just the way he acted.

I wonder if location makes any difference as far as Apple's priorities. Might be faster to ship to West coast compared to East? That shouldn't have anything to do with it, but otherwise I can't seem to find much of a pattern.
