iPhone 5 Available to ship:2 weeks / Delivers Oct 5

I wonder if we're on the same flight and just got scanned at diff times, or are on diff flights leaving HK...
we are on the same flight
it's 4am in Hong Kong so we probably wont see an arrival scan for a few hours and we should expect Anchorage by Monday Morning and Louisville by that evening and leaving Louisville by Tuesday evening.
I'd expect an out for delivery scan on Wednesday
I believe different flights. If mine shipped at 2:59AM Hong Kong time I'd expect it to me on UPS63 which was a 2:35AM to Anchorage right behind the last one at 12 something. It's a 9 hour flight so it will be in about 8PM Anchorage time. Not sure if UPS flies on Sundays, I did a history search and see an Anchorage to Louisville KY flight last Sunday so I am hoping so.
I wonder if the different flights were happenstance or how they separate the expedited/express deliveries.
Last Sunday, UPS 61 left from Anchorage from Louisville just after midnight.
I'm on Express.
my phone left Zhenzhou at 10:45pm on the 22nd, I'd imagine its in Hong Kong but not scanned for arrival yet. Any idea when the next UPS flight to Anchorage will be?

Ordered mine Sept 14 at 3:23 AM CDT. While processing my order had a delivery date of Oct 2. Yesterday it was moved back to Oct 5 when it changed status to "preparing for shipment." I'm not too happy about this delay since I'm leaving town on October 5 for a 10 day trip (that I was hoping to have my new phone on)!
At this point it still says "preparing for shipment" and does not show up in the UPS tracking by reference.

When did you guys order your phone? I ordered mine sunday and still nothing
This thread is mostly people who ordered just after the initial preorders from apple.com on the 14th. The ones who got in around 4AM or later and missed out on the short stock.
What do you mean we are on the same flight? It never showed my phone departing ZhengZhou..?
my UPS tracking info is the same as yours, so we're most likely in the same bundle headed for Hong Kong
It has been 24 hours and nothing has changed from the above.
Still "Preparing to Ship, Delivers October 5".
No change from pending to actual charge on the card.
Nothing on the support profile.
Nothing on UPS "track by telephone number"
It's really not a huge deal as I saw the October 5 delivery before I completed the purchase. At issue is, I would never have guessed that I would have been able to breeze into the Apple store and walk out with an iPhone 5.
The most difficult part, however, is watching people that have sneered at me over the years about being 100% Macintosh since 1985 waving their shiny new iPhones all over the place while I'm waiting for who knows what.
Well I would like to give some information to people who are seeing their shipments intended for October 5th is now been shipped.
So on the 14th, I ordered 2 AT&T 32GB iPhone 5 and 1 AT&T 16GB iPhone 5. Two days ago, my 16GB iPhone got shipped meanwhile one of my iPhones were labeled 'Preparing for shipment' and the other 'processing item'. This morning, the one which was labeled 'Preparing for shipment' has shipped meanwhile my other iPhone that was labeled 'processing item,' switched to 'preparing for shipment' this afternoon.
This morning, I called Apple to find out about the other iPhone that's now preparing for shipment. The Apple rep told me that the company is doing is assessing the orders placed by customers before the iPhone became available in store who cancelled after they either received the iPhone yesterday or do not want it at all.
Simply: If your order was for the 5th and changed to be shipped by September 27th, you're getting an iPhone that someone cancelled by going to the Apple store or participating stores selling iPhone 5.
I think people should know of what Apple is doing to get people their iPhone as soon as possible.
If it helps, phones should become available on Tuesday for sale at flagship Apple Stores across the country in cities of NYC, Boston and San Fran.

I preordered at 3:58am on the 12th and I'm stuck at "preparing shipment" and an estimated arrival of October 9th. Thank you apple! Preorder my arse...
