Exactly. How the defenders can't see this is beyond me. If I knew I could just walk into an apple store after work yesterday I'd have just don't that in the beginning.

The pre-orders were nothing but a marketing ploy and many of us were punished for not canceling our pre-orders before the 21st and are now being forced to wait until late next week for something I could literally walk into a store and purchase today.

So like many here my phones shipped yesterday via UPS Worldwide Express and are currently sitting in Hong Kong (hopefully headed for Anchorage soon).

According to the UPS website worldwide express has:

Delivery by 10:30 a.m. or 12:00 noon
Next business day delivery from Canada and Mexico
One or two business day delivery from Europe, Asia, and Latin America

So if yesterday counts as one day, hopefully the phones will be out for delivery by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

I'm still waiting for some one to escalate this and get it out to news networks. If they would refund the money and release the hold of peoples CC's / upgrades that would be fine. The issue I have is how they are pigeon holding everyone so that they CAN'T buy in store or making it difficult to do so. I don't see how that is legal.

Yes. If you ordered thru apple, they have a link to the form to pre-sign for delivery.

Possibly. It is Sunday there in China now, and I dont think UPS ships anything on Sundays, so that is probably why. But HK is probably the next stop!

UPS 59 leaving shortly for ANC and UPS 63 follows in about 30 mins.

I would think that means most of us should get them by Wednesday since Apple wont have a hold to a specific date.

Hope that doesn't mean my pre-order is screwed up (or maybe I do, cause then I could go to one of the e or 4 stores in the area that may have one in stock!). Am still in 'preparing for shipment' delivery on 10/5.

Stuck in "Preparing For Shipment" since Thursday.

If it hasn't shipped yet, then I am going to assume it is not getting here until October 5. They still have to launch other countries.

So if I get someone at Apple to cancel the order, then within a few days my new line pricing should be available and I can just get one at the Apple store a heck of a lot faster.

does anyone know why some orders are being processed through UPS Worldwide Express and some are being done through UPS Worldwide Expedited? the only difference i can see is the time of delivery.

Go to UPS.com and look up the tracking number by reference, put in your number and you should see a tracking number come up. This is how i did it for mine before Apple sent me the e-mail that they shipped my phone.

yes, it should also state in your email.

Mine just took off as well, everything the same as yours up until the departure from Hong Kong. Mine was at 2:59AM Hong Kong time.
