iPhone 5 Available to ship:2 weeks / Delivers Oct 5

How many people that ordered on 09/14 are still in "Preparing for shipment" status? If so, what time did you order?

The only thing is that I think for this track route we have already gone through customs in Louisville, KY at 2:11AM? Last known place for us was Hapeville, GA which I don't think is another stop for customs... And it says we've departed... Only thing I can assume is that the pallet of phones was broken up here & taken either by ground or small plane to localized areas...

One think I've learned from dealing with these big companies, cable, telephone, Internet, whatever..the people you get on the phone never know what's actually going on. All these companies have grown 'too big for their britches' so to speak.

I'm sure this was probably covered somewhere in the previous 70 some-odd pages, but does UPS not give a delivery date??

I can't find a delivery date or even estimated delivery date anywhere on my package shipment page. It shows to be in Anchorage, AK at 2:00 PM today

That's what I thought too... Maybe you should call ups and see what they tell you? Are you in California too? I mean how can it possibly take a week to get to me when I am a 4 hour plane flight away. It doesn't make any sense

I think they update with the delivery date once it goes through customs and the pallet gets broken up into individual packages.

I think my phone was on the same plane as the two of you. I too was wondering WTF my phone was doing in Hapesville, GA (Hartfield-Jackson International in Atlanta, GA). I haven't been able to find any UPS flights to or from KATL recently. Hell my phone is heading to Honolulu, so just like you I'm wondering why it's gotta travel even further in the opposite direction- but I guess I just don't understand "logistics" ;).

My guess is we'll soon see an update showing our phones left GA towards Ontario, CA or Oakland on their way to their final destinations. I hope for all our sakes it's either an error or there's a good reason for the extra trip to Georgia.

No I'm in Ohio... Which for the shipment to go from KY to GA is odd since KY is closer delivery for me... That's the only thing that signals a possible red flag to me, but I dunno! I guess we will have to wait and see if there are any updates tomorrow morning... Some people were held in KY for 1 or more days, so maybe our holding place is GA? It's just hard to tell, we are the only ones who's route has been this off the beaten path of the other shipments

Maybe the tracking is wrong and it went to Louisville after GA... 2:11 PM instead of AM? Haha I have no idea I just want my phone :(
 
Now I'm really pleased that I stayed up late to insure I would be in the first group who ordered. Receiving my phone the morning of launch day was the icing on the cake.

Yet I must say I'm concerned about family & friends that weren't so vigilant. While they have order confirmations, now we have a brand new problem.

I wonder how the closing of this one plant, if only for a day as estimated, will impact the iPhone 5. It's my understanding the impact may be minimal, or it may be very significant.

One things for certain, I'm glad I didn't get caught up in it.

**update** well i called ups and my delivery dat is gonna be on the exact date Apple said...the 27th at 10:30am smh. i waited all this time i guess 2 more days wont hurt

For what it's worth, my phone is now in Ontario, CA, which is the hub for Los Angeles and generally indicates delivery the next day. Even so, still no delivery date is listed. UPS is playing this one close to the vest.
 
There we go, finally got pickup time confirmation:

Package Available: Tuesday, 09/25/2012

10 days before the original two weeks plus shipping time estimate, can't complain.

Mine has been there since 7am and they said I won't receive it till the first I'm in California a 4 hour plane ride away. And apparently according to the lady this applies to everyone but who knows other people should call as find

actually mine was in kentucky since sunday 8 am
and mine is now in long beach california, last time i checked, and i'm in downey so i should recieve mine tomorrow?
