I am with all of you stuck in GA/Louisville - whereever it actually is... Tracking doesn't make any sense at all.. are our phones actually in Louisville, not GA? That would make sense. And the whole 'being stuck in Louisville for days for customs' does not make sense. UPS and Apple use 'World Ease' shipping to avoid these situations and expedite the shipping process, so I think someone has been misinformed. Plus most of everyone is was not stuck in Louisville for that long.

For what it's worth, my phone is now in Ontario, CA, which is the hub for Los Angeles and generally indicates delivery the next day. Even so, still no delivery date is listed. UPS is playing this one close to the vest.

Which is total crap if you have to arrange a signer to be at the house in advance.

me too! Grrr, very frustrating when everyone else already has theirs... I ordered mine online from Apple on the 14th at 342 AM EDT.

and even more frustrating that a guy at work just walked into the Verizon store and bought one this weekend!

Highly unlikely of course, but I wonder why it took 18 hours to show up in the Louisville hub?

Just called UPS because I was so confused with the shipping, but he said my phone will be delivered tomorrow and that it is showing a delivery of 9/25 in their system.. He said it is either in Louisville or on its way to Louisville and will be in Oklahoma tonight. It was hard to believe but he said it is confusing and that it will be on my doorstep tomorrow! Hopefully it will be the same for all of you guys in similar route!

Yep, been 'ready for ups' for a while now.... Looks like you and I were on the same truck....

I am in the same boat - stuck in ZhengZhou since 9/23. Strangely, when I log in to MyUPS and change the delivery to hold it at my local UPS store (in PA), it says the package will be available tomorrow (9/25)???

Is the entire UPS tracking system just going haywire? My other phone is somewhere between Atlanta and Louisville as of this morning at 0700. I did an iPhone-4 and iPad 2 on launch days via FedEx, never had any of these issues!

So I had the identical patterns as you.... I was told by someone at ups that customs was holding my package and I wouldn't receive it till the 1st after i saw your post I called back again and I guess the other lady was incorrect I am receiving it Wednesday 100% !!! Finally!

Mine left Louisville to arrive at a town about 40 miles east of me that is smaller than where I live. Then it went through my town to another town about 40 miles to the west of me but is also smaller than where I live. So hopefully it will find its way back here tomorrow morning! When I call UPS they assured me that it will be available at the terminal at 9 AM tomorrow when they open, so fingers crossed!

As others have mentioned, I am very disappointed in Apple in shipping out so many to store locations, and not fulfilling those of us that ordered within two hours of their release. Had I been available on Friday to receive it, I would've been extremely upset. As it worked out, assuming that I receive it tomorrow, then the delay will have only been one day, since UPS is closed on Saturdays.

Not sure how close you are to the UPS terminal, but if you sign up for MyUPS (it's free) you can arrange to pick it up at the terminal at no charge. At least I was able to do that. YMMV

You can pre-sign and have it left at your door (not in a million years, imo) or pick it up at your local UPS distribution center after an unsuccessful delivery or register a free My Choice account and have it held there in the first place.

Spoke to someone at UPS earlier today. Apparently the phones are Stateside (maybe in Alaska?) the tracking system isn't real time so what is showing on the website is obviously not updated.

Depending where you live, it will be out for delivery tomorrow. I talked with UPS and despite the tracking info, he showed in their system I would have it tomorrow. I live in OK, not sure if that matters. But he told me despite how confusing the tracking was, it would be at my house tomorrow. We will see if his word holds up. Remember, they are giving people same tracking info, which isn't very reliable. When you check in the morning, tracking info will probably be more precise for each person.
