So come in monday morning and stock might be available (depending on the preorder list length).
 
Called my local BB since I had not heard anything. They just got their shipment in today. The guy I talked to said they got a pretty good size order. Hopefully I get a call soon.

One thing that was interesting to note. They did not get any of the 64's in. None. I have also read on other threads that At & T and Radio Shack did not get in any either. If you are waiting for a 64 you may be waiting a while.

UGH, I hope my store did... I just called to ask about my 64G preorder and the guy I spoke with said that off the top of his head he knows they didn't have more than 2 preorders of those so I'd probably be getting mine. They had just received their shipment and begun sorting through them in the warehouse behind the store, but he took my information and said he'd get off the phone with me and go right back there and put the piece of paper on my phone for me. No call or email back from them yet.

Hopefully they actually received some of my model and he didn't just take that information then discover there were none of those in the back after all...
 
Just called the Best Buy near my house. He said they did not know how many iPhones they have because they haven't "opened the box". What?
 
Anyone order an iPhone 5 without commitment, and paid the extra $50? Just curious if you're preorder came in.

Derp... I say just try calling back tonight. Perhaps their shipment just came and they're aware it did but had a lot of traffic at the time you called and decided they'd get to it later.

Also apparently Best Buy is doing them by color. Like they're calling and emailing for all of their black phones first, then they'll be doing the white. Mine is doing it that way and apparently others have posted (on the best buy forums at least) that theirs are too. I've actually only seen people who ordered a black one post that they received the email yet. So if you ordered white, don't fret yet, they're getting to us a little later :)
 
I didnt get a call or email. I was number 4 in line at BB on Friday 10/14 and I ordered 2 iPhone 5 blk 32gb VZ.


When I called the rep said to just come on in...Only after I pressed her about why I hadnt received any communication did she go back to the mobile dept to find out they didnt received any blk VZ phones. Tomorrow is my last day to exchange under the 30 day policy from my 4s.

So I asked if I could get a white VZ iphone 32gb...the rep said no and that I would be stuck with my current phone (iPhone 4s purchased before the iPhone 5 announcement).

I immediately asked to speak with a manager who came up with 12 extra white VZ iPhones 32gb. Since my husband was willing to wait and didnt have any exchange or time constraints he said he will wait for his blk preorder.


I have never ordered an iPhone through BB before this and I will never order another one- From now on I am going to Apple or the Verizon store my buddy manages like I have done before.


The only reason I started my Verizon acct with BB was I had a $400 gift card to spend.



Manager told me I could exchange the white iPhone 5 for a blk if I wanted to, I dont want to do that since others will be waiting for a device too
 
So I printed my email and went to best buy just now and had them confirmed that my phone was there. I was going to have them write the confirmation on my email but the guy showed me my iPhone 5 with my name on it. So now I can sleep tonight! :D

I'm still waiting for a call or email. I got a call from best buy this evening but they didn't leave a voicemail so when I called back they told me they had no record of calling me. Still hoping I get something tomorrow.

I'm not sure. He matched my order number (from my email) to a list he had and said yup, we have your phone here. I said can I see it, he opened a locked drawer where he had all the iPhone in and were wrapped with a sheet of paper with my names and order information on it. He then scheduled me a time to come in. 11am!!! Can't wait!
 
I just called my Best Buy and they confirmed my phones are waiting. No appointment time cause this store is small.
 
Got my email this morning about 10:30am for pick up tomorrow. AT&T 32gb white. Called to confirm if they are opening early, and they aren't. Normal operation hours of 10am opening. Can't wait :)
 
I wasn't so lucky. I was first in line to order at my local BB and ordered at 16GB white AT&T iPhone 5 and according to the mobile manager there, they got no white ones at all. I was royally peeved as I cannot get it anywhere but Best Buy without having to drive at least an hour outside of town. I'm hoping they get some within the next week or I'm going elsewhere.

Is it that people who don't have geography in their name listing also don't say where something is going down.

Last time I preordered from bestbuy they took over week to get it in.
They called me to let me know that my phone is in. I go there ready to pick it up and they were like oh sorry. We made a mistake, yours hasnt arrived yet.
I wanted to break everything there:eek:

Hahahahhaha I hate Best Buy! They have the worst customer service ever! I've heard stories & experienced it for myself.
 
They must be doing inventory after hours or something or received another shipment late because I FINALLY received my email saying that my phone will be there tomorrow. It's almost 11:00pm where I live (Austin, TX) . Earlier today my Best Buy said they only got a few in and were not sure if they were getting more tomorrow.
