iPhone 5 found in the wild!

Did anyone notice if you zoom in on the pic, that the flash appears to be directly below the camera lens maybe? Food for thought..

Thats exactly what I noticed! In my last post I mentioned how that's the only thing that really looks different from the 3GS, besides the fact that it looks a tad thinner, but thats hard to tell.

I would really love a chrome back, but that's just me. Imagine if they got the Apple logo on the back to light up? (Saw the idea on iCarly's PearPhone lol)
:apple:

I have reason to believe that this is the latest iPhone. (Although I hope it isn't true cause I really dislike a product being revealed before it has been official)

Why is it the latest iPhone, you may ask?

Well like all 'test' phones they would need to be disguised if they are brought into public (for obviously reasons) so of course it will bear a slight resemblance to a current, or previous model iPhone. Duh!

I thought this was CalTrain when I first saw it, but it's not. Unless there is a train that I've never taken, the upholstery on the trains with the tables is purple not blue.

And something that's been bugging me since I first saw this: What's that thing on the seat next to him?

+1

I take caltrain everyday - and looked closely at the pic - IT IS NOT CALTRAIN!

Caltrain equipment with tables is either purple cloth seats or grey seats with blue edges - these are NOT caltrain seats!!

I think its fake.

i'm not gotta buy if iphone 5 design not cool at least look like those 2 picture above design

It's hard to believe that Apple wouldn't at least disguise it if they were testing it in the wild
I agree.

But rumors are part of the reason the 4's "antenna gate" wasn't discovered earlier was the 4s were disguised when tested in the wild. So maybe they test them naked now.

They wouldnt add the Apple logo if that were the case.

A multi billion dollar company wouldnt just throw a model out in the open without heavily disguising it first.

who has a 3G anymore that wasn't a hand-me-down?
I do.

Had the 3G for 2 years and was ready to upgrade to an iPhone 4.
Got the iPhone 4 - and returned it.

The antenna problem (or local AT&T reception) was too much of a problem.
I keep my phones in a leather pouch, I do not use bumpers, rubber or plastic cases. Yet touching the outer metal rim really killed the signal for me. As I didn't want to get a bumper or case I just returned the iPhone 4 for a full refund.
Went back to the 3G, using it for the 3rd year now - hoping for the iPhone 5.
Come on Apple, you can do better than the iPhone 4!

Anyway, back on topic.
Looking at the (seemingly more and more real iPhone 5 leaks) what strikes me is the larger size. Thinner, but larger.

Would a larger iPhone 5 pave the way for a smaller iPhone mini?
A brand new, but smaller phone, rather than last year's model as a hand-me-down?

Because, only poor people still have the 3G... :D

Only kidding, but still, who has a 3G anymore that wasn't a hand-me-down?

I've had my iPhone 3G since it first came out in '08. Although i have a 3 year contract, i was able to upgrade my hardware when the iPhone 4 was released, but..I didn't find the iPhone 3GS necessary to upgrade to, and neither was the iPhone 4. Until i downloaded iOS 4.0.. since then i've been waiting for the iPhone 5.
Nothing to do with wealth.

Specs wise, the iPhone 3G is JUST like the original iPhone, except it has a plastic back and 3G capabilities. I can't wait to get the iPhone 5, my iPhone 3G is on it's last leg, and it's been a blow to my productivity..god this upgrade will be sweet.

There's been a huge influx of identical cases, so it seems like Apple made a big mistake with the iPhone 4 and this will be the most fantastic iPhone upgrade yet!

I just thought of something. Maybe Apple is indeed steering away from the current formfactor to make sure they don't look like the samsung-clones anymore. Maybe Apple doesn't want to be asociated with cheap clones by keeping the current formfactor?

Edit. And give Apple an excuse (blaming samsung) to get away from the current mediasensitive antenna.

Apple would never EVER have a prototype out there with their logo printed on it. That's just stupid.

Especially after the iPhone 4 "bar incident".
