Underwhelmed so far.

LTE
Bigger Screen
Faster processor

All items that have been out on competing phones for a while.

No NFC is gonna be a big bummer.

NFC = Fail Bag of Hurt

Why in the heck would anyone want NFC when it requires brand new hardware on both the user and the POS side. We all already have screens. Most purchasers already have some sort of scanning tools that can read 3d barcode. Those that don't can implement them inexpensively. Small businesses, the engine of our economy, are already using their iPhones and BB's for this. NFC will fail because of this. It's a technology being pushed by old school cash-register, terminal companies.

I soo agree. Its way too much new stuff...its going to delay it for months. :(

On the plus side, lots of new hardware = lots of unknown vulnerabilities = Jailbreak. I'm sure they'll have a fieldtrip with this.

Totally agree. NFC, to me, is just a redundant technology. I don't see many people flashing their Android phones to pay for something at a Google Wallet store.

You are absolutely wrong. Why are you thinking so incredibly closed minded? Why can NFC only be used for in-store payments?

NFC is a technology used all over Europe and Asia. Just to give you an example: for public transport systems.

LTE - nothin new and useless with datacaps
Quadcore - been there done that
1 GB RAM ? - what the iPhone 4S should have had
a 4 inch screen - my bankrupt sony erricsson called it wants its innovation back
iOS 6 - dated Nintendo look

still looking forward to the Keynote tho, maybe something will impress me after all.
hopefully a tweaked iTunes design too

i'll probably just stick to my iPad & iPhone 4S for the iOS "pleasure" and will wait for the new nexus

Exactly. I'd say it's also about that implementation as part of a SYSTEM, i.e., iTunes/Apps/iCloud/Airplay/iOS/OSX/etc.

:)
It's about both.

They can only add one feature, and even when it's implemented in the most insane way possible, it will still be a small upgrade.

I'd rather see an iPhone 4-style upgrade: Retina Display (first time we saw it), faster 3G speeds, second microphone for noise cancellation, all-new design, high-quality camera, LED flash, much better battery life, front facing camera, FaceTime, etcetera etcetera.

Probably because it's (most likely) not going to be on the next iPhone, so it mustn't be useful.

Same deal with people saying the iPhone screen is the perfect size, that increasing it would mean you can't use it one handed anymore, that it's "compensating" etc. I bet those same people will go out and buy it anyway.

And if you think this isn't apple leaking this, HOURS just before the announcement (generate most buzz), you're naive.

MacRumors is going into hyperdrive today! Cmon Quad core...

Would rather have it be a dual core A15. The A15 is more power efficient. The only quad core option would be using the A9 core and with the battery remaining relatively the same, would suck battery life away.

NFC may also be used as your car keys in the near future...

For example, my Nissan Maxima has a Push-to-Start using a proximity key, so instead of having to carry the Nissan "football" key (their term), I would just have my smartphone.

Can any one explain what exactly is a A6 chip, you can say A6, A7 or A55, A75, A5X whatever, that does not give any information on the chip, other than it is a later generation than A5

:apple: It doesn’t look like Apple will have anything new to show off.
I know a lot of people are saying no NF? something but I think those people are just trying to convince themselves so they can have a Surprise! lol
