iPhone 5 Now Available for Pre-Order

used the app, realized my billing info was outdated / wrong state, fixed it at att.com, went back to the app, and bought, before the apple store .com site came back up.. yay
 
wow.. everything went very smoothly for the first time ever.

The only problem is that I just realized that I used the wrong CC and the wrong Billing name. HAHAHA :D

We will see what happens.

For some reason Safari STILL thinks the store is down, but I ordered it fine through Firefox! White 32GB, oh yeah.
 
Well its 12:25p PST in Cali now, just ordered through the App Store app from iPad. Was trying at att.com, after the countdown the loading sign never goes away and after a few unsuccessful tries logging in, it would not accept my password. And apple.com still shows the "we'll be back" post-it. Pretty stubid. When you thought apple/att is prepared for this after so many years.

As a recap, last year (iPhone 4S) I was able to do it from iPhone through att.com's mobile site only.
 
apartment # disappears on final checkout

on the web apple store, i entered my apartment # on the shipping screen, and then on confirmation checkout there is no apartment # shown.

i even removed the iphone from my cart and started over to see if i messed up, but again my apartment # is missing from final confirmation screen.

even on the confirmation email, the apartment # i entered is indeed not listed......

happen to anyone else?
 
Also got through via the iOS app. Took a while because it kept giving me a long loading screen and then a connection error.

Got my order confirmation email for my 32 GB Black with AT&T <30 sec. later! :D
 
Apple Store is still currently down for me on Safari on my Mac. I used the apple store app and aside from timing out several times for about 5 minutes when entering my password it worked. Although AT&T still didn't change my upgrade status. I ended up paying $590 when I only should have paid $350 for a 32GB. I already have a case number with them to fix my little snafu, so hopefully they'll at least give me some credit on my account and I won't have to pay the next few months bills to make up for it.
 
Easy as a breeze this time. Last time (iPhone 4 for me) it took me nearly 12 hours of trying. Today, not even 20 minutes. There were a few extremely slow loads but no error pages or forced reloads. I'm glad to see that it seems like they actually stress tested their server this year. Very impressed and looking forward to my new 32GB Slate/Black iPhone 5!
 
AT&T online still down for me in Ohio. Decided to try the apple store app and was done ordering 2 16GB white ones in just a few minutes. Can't wait for the 21st!!
 
Apple store down still. App store app worked until checkout, then times out. AT&T worked eventually around 12:20, but would randomly time-out on various pages along the way. Seems like your carrier's website is best route to go atm.

Good luck for those still trying.
 
nah AT&T I couldn't log into my account and Apple's website has been down too. I tried clicking on the Sprint and Verizon links too and they don't work. I ended up using the Apple Store app and for some reason it works. So odd.
