iPhone 5 Now Available for Pre-Order

Got a 64GB Black AT&T iPhone 5 ordered. Still have my old iPhone 3G $30 unlimited data intact as well. I'll have to call and see if they'll change the shipping address as I get all my packages delivered elsewhere because I live in an apartment building and UPS/FedEx/USPS don't even ring the bell, they just will leave anything sitting in the lobby or automatically leave a "not home" thing. Also I couldn't add Apple Care at checkout so I have to add that to the order as well and check if having the 30 pin adapter is going to make me wait, if so I'll take that off. It shouldn't though because for the iPhone it says "delivers 9/21".

I initially tried going through AT&T's site and it said upgrades couldn't be processed online and then re-directed me to my account page to upgrade online and then I just got an error. But I opened Apple in another tab and although slower than usual and I had to refresh a page once that got stuck everything went smoothly. Nice going with you servers Apple.
 
I used a friends account and his upgrade to buy the phone. I ordered using the iPhone app. The shipping address is not his billing address on his Verizon account and I used my billing address to process my debit card... Is my order going to be canceled?
 
Went through Verizon's site using Chrome with no hiccups, got 2 of them and created a new account/plan. My biggest problem came when I wanted to port my number over. Sprint's homepage wouldn't even load so I wasn't able to get my account number. Looks like I'll have to port the numbers after the phone arrives.

lol, 30 minutes later and Sprint's site still won't open for me.
 
Im happy to say it only took me about 15 mins on the app to purchase. Quite a few refreshes , but went through fine.
I tried the apple site and att at the time time and kept timing out.

That app was a heaven sent though
 
I got mine thru VZW before 2:00 CST!!! So happy! 64Gb iPhone 5 Black/Slate here I come!

I kid you not, the Apple store works in Safari, but still not available in Firefox and Chrome!
 
Placed order but couldn't edit my shipping address. My default shipping address is my work address, but my billing and shipping were the same at checkout and there was no way to change it.

Also, had to order via the browser. Couldn't add Apple Care using the store app. No options to add accessories, at least not that I found.

This ran much less than smoothly but at least I can go to sleep now.
 
Ordered 2 via the app store in my iPhone. Went smooth smooth smooth. Now I can't sleep! Just wish there was a way to pick them up at the store. Oh well. At least mine are done with order conformations from Apple.

Except that option doesn't exist on the page. Looks like my 2nd line is stuck waiting until I get my VZ account info.
 
I used the store app from my iPhone 4 at exactly 3:01 EST and was done ordering at 3:05
Email confirmation came almost instantly.
Waiting on my 64GB Black for next Friday!!
 
Apple's site worked fast for me. Checked out in less than 5 minutes. Plus I went through upromise.com and got 5% cashback (bought the phone at full price, so that's almost 40 bucks!)
 
app store app didn't work for me, apple.com on firefox did

kept getting a "this order cannot be fulfilled please try again later" on the mac app store app, while apple.com and sprint.com were still down on chrome.

opened apple.com with firefox and breezed through the order. just got the email confirmation :)
 
I got my white 64gb... looks like the apple store phone app opened up at midnight while the desktop version didn't until minutes after
 
iOS safari

Just placed order with safari on the iphone 4s. worked smoothly and not slow in the least.

I was able to order my upgrade but I need to upgrade my wife's phone on the same account. It wont let me and keeps telling me that I already have an open order for this number/account. How do I do it separately?

I tried Apple.com on desktop, and ATT.com also through desktop while simultaneously using the apple store app on iPhone4, and the app processed everything really fast. I got my confirmation email at 2:03am

My only concern is that They have not yet pulled the funds out of my bank acct. Should this worry me at all?
