I sent 4 different orders through Apple's site via Safari (4 different lines). I even went so far as to change the shipping information in MyATT in order to get the correct shipping address on Apple's site for each phone. Hopefully this will be like the iPhone 4 launch and they'll arrive a day early!
For what it's worth, I was clicking refresh on my Safari browser over and over again for about 25 minutes - no luck. The Apple Store kept giving me the message that the store was down. And then I thought to Reset Safari... and I got right in and ordered my iPhone and got my confirmation email. Had no trouble with the Verizon step even. And I can go back in to the Apple Store still. So try Resetting Safari if you are on a Mac or try flushing your cache.
Also, just wanted to say I did see the option of having the phone mailed to me or pickup in the store. So you can preorder and pick up in the store. Folks have been saying otherwise.

Lesson learned. Use safari for these kinds of things. Chrome still doesn't work.
If you read the "about AppleCare for iPhone" it says it must be included in the same order or else you have to go to the physical store and have the Genius Bar inspect your phone within 30 days. That sounds like a big hassle. I wonder why it wasn't more easily available though.
Anyone trying to open a new account being told they might have to pay a deposit? We've been trying to open an account in my significant other's name bc his work offers a killer discount, but we didn't have this issue we tried a couple days ago with a iPhone 4s. Is this a system failure? Should we try later on when it's less busy?
Finally made it into the Apple website store. Placed my order through the app but it is now showing up in my Apple account under the "My Orders". I thought it a little unusual that Apple didn't have any cases ready to go this time around. I would have thought at the least they would have had the bumpers available.

Good advice for Chrome. It lets me right in while both IE in Windows and Safari were throwing up error messages.
i finally got through to the apple store. been trying safari and firefox for about 6 minutes, it kept saying the store was down but finally was able to oder my iphone 5 32gb black AT&T. Got my conformation email saying order processing.

Was able to order from Apple Store finally as it just came back up for me. Ordering was pretty smooth. Had to go to AT&T site and change my billing address so that the Apple Store would pick up the right shipping address when it checked my upgrade eligibility. Did that easily on AT&T site and I am good to go
Once store came back up here (I'm in DC area), ordering went through without a hitch. Already received my confirmation screen and my "your order is being processed" email from Apple. Yay!

How long does it take for me to be able to change my shipping address and will that affect the delivery date? Right now its 9/21 but I need to change the shipping address!
About 30 minutes into the launch and no issues ordering with the app on my iPad. Took less than a minute.
When I click "Add a Device" on Sprint.com, does anyone else get the response where it goes back to the main webpage?
