That's all I've got so far too. Still waiting for my order status to change to processing so that I can change the shipping address.

Not sure if this will actually fix anything, but check your shopping cart...are there any iphones in there? Me and another guy with the processing problem had iphones in our carts. I don't know if it will change anything...it hasn't so far.
 
Not to worry friend. Many users have reported that once their order status changed to "processing" that they could then change the address. I am waiting to do it to and will post if I have success.

SPRINT is finally up, I got in and out in a couple minutes. And they say they will be at your location on the 21st
 
NZ store now open, but "iPhone 5 Coming soon" WTF

SO jealous that you live in NZ. It's my dream location. I'll be doing a working holiday for a year there starting in summer 2014. By then we'll be waiting for iPhone 7!
 
I have a 4s on sprint but dont get service in 85% of my area, had to go outside to take phone calls at home as well as work. Got a 16gb black on Verizon, then turned around and got a New iPad 4G as well to replace my 1st gen.

Should be a fun filled next week with the new gadgets!!!
 
No way I'm loosing my unlimited data. It's how I've done it for the 4 and the 4s. I am in LA and my brother is in Boulder. 2 different address, 1 charge, grandfather plans. You all are having so many issues ordering one phone, and I was in bed and off the phone at 12:15.

It's a lot better than "Shift R, Shift R, Shift R. 2 weeks! Damnit!"

I also have unlimited plan....but I think they will force us to move to their shared plan soon or later.
 
What's the point in being awake and trying to place an order if shipping has already slipped 2 weeks. Let's face it if you don't have your order in now, your screwed until early to mid October, good night. People with business accounts are completely screwed as we can't go to the Apple or ATT store to purchase, we have to purchase online through the worthless ATT Premier site.

Thats not true I have an att premier account and I have upgraded in stores before. Plus Best buy is preordering this morning in stores for those who didnt get in the first wave.
 
Im in the same boat.

I just checked my shopping cart in the apple store and had 2 iphones in there (from botched attempts to purchase). I'm thinking that might have held up the processing. I deleted them a few minutes ago...we'll see what happens.

Still have my reservation id, being processed and waiting for the email to proceed.


Anyone picking up in store?
 
Or Apple did what they did with the new iPad and deliberately limited pre-order stock so that there is plenty for the stores on launch day. Remember how pre-orders slipped quickly then, but then on launch day the lines were relatively short and there were stacks of iPads all over the place? iPad had a record weekend, so perhaps Tim Cook is hoping the same for the phone.

Or maybe the rumors about supply issues were true, or Apple's aggressive rollout strategy (8 countries next week, 22 more the week after, 100 by year end) has thinned allocations a bit.

I dont think they are doing the same thing they did with iPad, demand for iPhone and iPad is totally different. I would say its combination of supply and aggressive rollout schedule.
 
I woke up at 3:30am and figured i already missed the preorder.....but i didn't! 32gb White will be delivered 9/21!! Time to let my 2 year and 3 month old iPhone 4 retire. Btw i did it through apple.com on safari for mac.
 
1. No way, their forecast cant be off every time since 2007, its strategic decision, keep people wanting that phone.
2. Stores will have some, but it will not cover demand. iPhone is not like iPad, its totally different, demand for iPhone is much greater.
3. To some point you are right, but again, those decisions and information are not something they will tell you 24 hours before they are late....everything was known long time ago.

Tim Cook's philosophy is different from Steve Jobs', though. He didn't mind shortages on Day 1 since it generated buzz. Tim Cook last January, after selling 37 million iPhones in the first quarter, told analysts that if they had 7 million more phones they'd have sold them all. He's a supply chain guy and wants to meet demand.

I'm an AT&T premier customer through my company and I had no problem ordering the iPhone 5, and even the iPhone 4S last year.
 
I have a business account so Apple won't let me order from the app or their website. I called AT&T Customer Service at 12:01am and have been on-hold for the last 50 minutes. I sure hope they answer soon so that delivery doesn't slip past the launch day!

It's kind of BS that they didn't have more people manning the phones and expect the influx of calls at midnight.

I've now been on hold for 1.5 hours. And I see shipping has slipped to 2 weeks on Apple's website.

I can't wait for another company to come along and dethrone Apple, its ridiculous that I am awake at 4:30am trying to order a smartphone.

I get to add to cart and it went down.

The funny thing is you have zero problem ordering a phone as a new customer but if you are upgrading, nope you have tons of issues.

All three US carriers are still delivering by 9/21 if you can get through.

You were just in time! It slipped to 2 weeks shortly thereafter. I got mine through the iOS app.

I'm Premier as well, still haven't gotten through on AT&T's site.

Keep getting these two errors (in random order):

Got thru to AT&T, went thru the entire upgrade process, hit "CONFIRM ORDER" and then the size froze solid. *******!!! Now I don't even know of the order went thru or not. AT&T rot in hell ...
