Not sure if this will actually fix anything, but check your shopping cart...are there any iphones in there? Me and another guy with the processing problem had iphones in our carts. I don't know if it will change anything...it hasn't so far.

Nope. It's empty after the 1st time the site failed me and I added a phone again, it did have two phones in the cart. I promptly removed one of them (the older one) and proceeded with the checkout. Maybe since I/we was/were on the tail end of ordering for the initial shipment, it will take some time for them to change to processing.
 
No problems in UK here for me.

Apple store app... All done by 8.02 am and an email from Apple to confirm by 8.03am!
 
I've now been on hold for 1.5 hours. And I see shipping has slipped to 2 weeks on Apple's website.

Does AT&T have one eskimo in a call center in Alaska answering the phones?

I think they hired "Peggy" from the Capital One commercial. :D

I gave up on the AT&T site (I couldn't get it to work on my Mac or PC on Safari, IE, or Chrome) and ordered it from the iPhone app in the nick of time to get it on 9/21.
 
If it turns out that I could walk into an apple store on the 21st and pick one up, then I am canceling the "PRE-order" ordered before 4am on the 14th that is now being "shipped within 2 weeks" - that seems weird
 
anyone reserving to pick up in store because of slip in shipping dates?

as of 20 min ago, you could not reserve in store yet. The option was greyed out. I urge anyone interested in an in-store pick up to call your local ARS tomorrow morning.
 
Got thru to AT&T, went thru the entire upgrade process, hit "CONFIRM ORDER" and then the size froze solid. *******!!! Now I don't even know of the order went thru or not. AT&T rot in hell ...

I had the same happen. I don't think it went thru. :(
 
AT&T systems still hosed... and I'm thinking they won't get any better later today. Anyone think these reservations from Apple Store are really going to give a chance to preorder before initial stock is sells out (assuming it hasn't yet despite Apple Store listing)?

Same thing happened to me... I had to redo everything. Unless you get to the order placed with your order # its not really placed. Their site is completely busted.

So in the mix of the chaos of ordering I somehow got a iPhone 5 reserved as well as ordered one... once I ordered it my AT&T upgrade eligibility left (like it should) but it wont arrive for 2 weeks... but I just got notified that my reserved one is available for me to order and will be here on the 21st... but at full price... WHAT CAN I DO? :(

If you need it on launch day, you will HAVE to go to an ARS to get it. Call your closest one tomorrow to see if they have anything set up for reserving them.

I got my order in pretty early, got my "processing" email at 3:11 Eastern and I'm still in the order received phase as well. I know they checked (not charged) my credit card already too.

Call who ever you ordered it through that is going to take the 2 weeks. Apple I assume? Ask their advice. If they can cancel the order, then your eligibility may be reset within 24 hours, which will then maybe allow you to pay the subsidized pricing. Good luck!
 
easy as can be ....delivering next Friday White/Silver, we have something to look forward too next week.
 
this whole delivery address matching the carrier address matching the credit card billing address is just ridiculous just to have something delivered to your workplace. i've placed countless orders online from numerous vendors over the years and this is the only process that makes me jump through these hoops. oh well, i changed to my work address on credit card, then changed it at ATT to match.

apple's site went to 2 weeks shipping so i went through ATT's site. order kept getting stuck doing nothing after trying to add it to my cart using safari. so i used chrome and it went through fine. well i got an order number. but it said i would get an email which has still yet to arrive.

hope somebody gets something useful out of this. it's after 430am and i'm writing this when i should be sleeping. but the stress and excitement has me wide awake.

Do we suspect crazy lines outside ARS locations in the morning, as in people who lined up hours before they open or even in the middle of the night?

Since I stayed up late trying to reserve online (not knowing they wouldn't let us until I tried) Not sure I can do any earlier than 8am opening, even that seems pretty early right now....

dont know, havent received email confirmation yet. With it being Sprint, I expect an email four hours later. :(

Sprint is good about getting it to you on the 21st, last year when i ordered the 4s it was there bright and early that morning.

also if you go to this link and input your order number you can see that it was processed and you can continually go there to check the status.

if you dont want to wait two weeks, many are still having success ordering through the carrier websites!
