No confirmation email from Verizon yet! WTF? Anyone else still waiting I ordered at 12:07 AM PDT.
 
Yay, got e-mail follow-up on Apple Store reservation after almost 2 hours. Went in and preordered without any problems this time. Course order still lists iPhone 5 as shipping in 2 weeks, but I have faith it's just an allocation issue Apple will fix in a day or two.
 
I preordered on apple.com around 12:45, and by then the shipping had slipped to 2 weeks. (16GB black, Verizon). But around 1:30 I saw everyone saying that you still had a chance of getting it by 9/21 if you ordered through the carrier websites, so I ordered a second one through verizonwireless.com and will just cancel the first one.

Does anyone know if this will cause issues, since obviously you can't have 2 active phones at the same time. Will I be able to cancel the Apple order (say, tomorrow) without messing up the Verizon order? I'm not eligible for an upgrade so I just ordered the full retail price phone with no contract extension, in case that matters.

Hopefully it's normal because that's what mine is listed as. Shipment status is "processing" and phone agent attempted to assure me that they'll indeed ship on the 21st... as long as Apple gives them enough supply.

You guys should feel lucky! ATT doesn't even list my order on the site and says to check back in 24 hours...

I do have an order number at least. Hopefully it went through!

Still haven't gotten an e-mail confirmation either....
 
I used a friends account and his upgrade to buy the phone. I ordered using the iPhone app. The shipping address is not his billing address on his Verizon account, I used my billing address to process my debit card... I then went back on Verizon.com and changed his billing address to the same billing address associated with my debit card. Is my order going to be canceled?

I assume if I set all of the addresses to the billing address of my card (Verizon billing address, iPhone 5 order billing address and shipping address) Then theres no way it would be canceled right?

Maybe because I ordered from Apple it doesnt matter? Help!
 
last year I ordered way later than this and got it a day before the stores were selling.

the shipping estimates are just that, estimates, until it actually ships
 
Does anyone else know when the iPhone 5 will be available unlocked? Am I really the only one wanting an unlocked iPhone on this whole site?

You should feel remarkably lucky ... the majority of us trying to use AT&T have gotten nothing but errors trying to get in.
 
I immediately got an email from apple (ordered in app) saying the order was processing. When I clicked on the order number to check the status however, it Was in the order received stage. I just got a notification on my phone saying my credit card has been charged and I checked the order status which is now changed processing.

I also received a single email saying my order was being processed, but on the order status page it says that it is in the receiving stage.
 
I did the same thing but with Sprint (and 64gb). I'm assuming there shouldn't be any issue...worst case is you have to go to a carrier store in person and have them fix the situation.

Good grief, give it a rest. Apple has your order and it shows 9/21 shipping, right? Why do people think because someone else posts their order went to Processing, their order has a problem? :confused: There's no timestamp as an order changes status, so unless someone is sitting there refreshing every 30 seconds, they can't answer your question.

It says "Processing Items" and it was immediately after placing the order

Same here. Wouldn't worry. I noticed they already hit my card for a dollar.

The confirmation email that I received approximately 2 minutes (3:07 am EST) after I submitted the order said the order was being processed, not received. Since the Apple website was still down at 3:45 I turned off the computer. I just checked and the website says processing just like the email indicated.

Try this. Instead of clicking "Check Availability" when it prompts you, Click "No Thanks. Continue..."

Once in click Shop, Then click upgrade in the lower left hand corner. That still seems to be working.

Worth a shot!
