For anyone in Houston, after trying unsuccessfully for one week, I walked into the Galleria store today and picked up a 32GB Verizon model. They were out of 16GB. Apparently, they will tell you they don't have any in stock if you call to ask. Just walk in and see if they have any available.

You and I both know Houston traffic is not worth just walking into the Galleria just to ask if they have any in stock. I've been trying to find one for 2 weeks with no luck.

It actually wasn't bad this afternoon. Stopped by the Microsoft store this afternoon and just decided to swing by. They even have a big ole' sign outside saying no iPhone 5's available, but they had some 32 and 64 GB's available. Don't bother calling. They'll tell you they don't have any on hand. And what's even more disturbing is the fact that the lady said they've had iPhones online every night for reservation. Crazy because I've not seen one pop up in the past week at any store in the Houston area.

Looks exactly like it does every day at this time.

Usually it says "Pickup: Currently unavailable. Inventory updated nightly at 10 p.m".
It was saying "Pickup: Not Eligible".

And even if you wanted to purchase any other item that usually is always "IN STOCK", it wasnt letting you pick up at store.

iPhone 5 Personal Pickup

Has anyone successfully ordered an iPhone 5 lately for personal pickup lately? How long does it take to sell out usually?
And which is faster, Apple Store app, or just ordering online?
Thanks for answering if you do, I really would like to successfully order one today!

My strategy is to have both the web site and the Apple Store available. Personally, I prefer the web site (which I successfully used a month ago). This past Tuesday, the Apple Store was having MAJOR problems, and I wasn't able to do anything on the web site. I had the app ready to go and for whatever reason was eventually able to get my order in. (Picked up the order the next day.)

Tonight was the first night I was checking with intentions of reserving. Only phones in stock were the white 32 and 64's and a black 32, closest of which was 3 hours away. Last night every store on the list had a black 32. All on AT&T btw. I have been on a "waitlist" with a $100 deposit at the local AT&T store for three weeks and they have gotten maybe 5 phones of any color and size in that whole time.
