iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

I live in Tampa and when I was trying to order one last night they showed they had stock available at the miami store (they showed me all the apple stores in FL). I would try again tonight and see if there is still stock available.

Ok. Thanks. For which phone specifically? I was looking and nothing came up for me.
 
When I try to place another order I get a message that they are unable to upgrade my phone at this time. For further details contact AT&T. I'm reluctant to cancel my original order because that may not be the problem.

On the bright side, my order for Lightning to USB Cables, which was scheduled to ship October 18-24, is "preparing for shipment." Unfortunately I found that out when I tried to cancel the order and was told it's too late. I picked up some at the Apple Store today, thinking I'd otherwise have to wait weeks.
 
This worked great for me. I kept hitting the checkout on the iphone app until I found that in the entire bay area, only the Palo Alto store had some. Walked in 5 minutes after it opened and was out in under 10 minutes, I didn't have to wait in the line. This is the way to go if you didn't get in yet. Good luck!
 
Arrgh. I decided to cancel but Apple.com will not let me cancel because it says I have to cancel Applecare at the same time, but the Applecare order has been fulfilled so it cannot be cancelled. Seriously?
 
Today they updated the inventory 3 minutes before 10PM. Yesterday it was a couple of minutes after 10PM.

Managed to reserve one both yesterday and today🙂

Love personal pickups!

My buddy at the store told me its better to just to order it online. They got 1 yesterday or today and it was a sprint 64gb. He said they haven't seen much inventory at least in my store.
 
ordered at 10PMish last night, black 64gb, really only needed a 32gb so had to try a couple of times. paid full price. verizon.

one was avail at the uvillage store in seattle. first try. i guess i got lucky.
 
Either the Philadelphia area didn't count their next shipment yet, or those things went in less than a minute. I'm about thisclose to just ordering it online. This is madness.


I also feel like I'm being trolled, the Apple store in SoHo NYC still has the phone I want in stock. Maybe I'll make a trip up there this weekend...

It's possible the area just didn't get any. It sounds like a lot of stores are getting shipments of zero or 1 phone. It's a really awesome situation...
 
I've been refreshing the Philly area stores for 20 minutes now. I'm thinking that they haven't updated them yet. I was at the Marlton, NJ store this morning & I was told they got 4 in for walk-in buyers and I saw at least 10 people pick up online orders in the 30 minutes I was there.
 
I wish they did reservations like last year where you could request what you want and they'd email you when they got it.
