For picking it up, I've heard 24 hours from when it's ready to pickup but I've also heard a full week and two weeks, so I'm not sure. You'd have to call and ask the store you want to pick it up at.
stop speculating and heed some first hand experience :)

I remember the online reservation process last year and it's not the same as this year. This year is strictly an online purchase system with in-store pickup. The order emails make no mention of needing to come prior to 6pm the next day to ensure you will get it. Unlike last year, the fundamental difference is that the iphones sitting at the store have already been paid for.

I finally got my phone today; reserved at 10:03pm from a store about 40 miles away, the only one with stock for two nights straight with 4 other stores near me. I received the confirmation e-mail right away and the 'ready to pick up' email less than an hour later. The iPhone box had a large sticker with my name on it.

The Apple store employee which set up my phone said there would be a large shipment coming in today for two of my area stores, and each store gets about 100 phones with every shipment but only got 50 yesterday (I'm assuming these are all capacities / colors / carriers). Tonight I will try and get my sister a white one.
 
Question, if I use the apple app store to make reservation to pick up, will they charge my credit card in full or can I come and pay cash for the phone when I come and pick it up?
 
I haven't had any luck yet in NYC. I'm looking for a 16gb black AT&T so it's probably very popular. The weird thing is that I check at 9:20 last night and Pick up in store was activated but no stores had them available. Do they update it earlier than 10? Anyone know anywhere else in NYC to snag one?

So based on what everyone is saying about stores not getting shipments on Sundays, that means that Monday mornings are actually the worst day to try and get one?

Reason I'm asking is because I'm eligible for an upgrade next Sunday and want to try and get one that day at my local store.
 
Has anyone been able to pick up a Verizon iphone in Southern California in the past week?

I've been checking every night and they are always out.

You are charged as soon as you check out and complete the order.
 
I'm trying to reserve two Verizon iPhones online, one black and one white. I want to get both on a new Share Everything plan on a new Verizon account.

I went through the reservation process, setting up each phone as it would be on a new account. Now that both are in my cart, however, I'm getting the following message at the top of my shopping cart page:

Only one carrier-activated iPhone can be ordered at a time. Please make sure only one carrier-activated iPhone is in your Cart. Your Cart may contain multiple unlocked iPhones.

Is there any other way I can do this? Should I have the other person try to reserve their phone in another cart on another computer, then wait until we pick them both up to explain to the Genius what we want to do?

What state did you see these in? Doesn't seem to be any Sprint phones in/near Michigan

If you are on your account as an authorized user that will be ok. You need to bring your ID and the card that was used to purchase the phone
 
anyone know if there will be phones tonight? UPS/FedEx do not deliver on sundays.... right?

I don't think it matters. My store for example gets shipment before they open the store. The reservation system should know how many phones they'll be getting.

depends on how strict the guy is. in one instance, they had me log into my wireless account right then and there to prove that I was an authorized user.
