iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

So, 1am est? yikes
This is like a girl getting you all "worked up" on a date, and then saying she has to go in, she has work tomorrow.
That is crazy. It is not like I am going to have an advantage living on the east coast if I get to order three hours earlier. I am not going to snag a phone out in California ahead of a west coaster! You would think that they would want to stagger the calls to make it easier on their computers. Crazy.
Just finished talking to the apple representative, and he spoke to his manager and all they had to say for me was to keeping on trying, or wait till the next night

WTF apple... 10pm Pacific, thanks for screwing the east coast customers, I guess they are worried I will snag a phone in california when I live in Massachusetts

That's weird because the apple associate on the phone was asking me what time zone I was in (east coast) and said it should be working.
Talking to a clueless Apple Rep ... He's saying that the reason why it is greyed out is because there are no stores in my area that have it available for pickup. Told him I live in NYC and he says that ... yea it means there are no iPhone 5's available for pickup in all of New York City
I just chatted with an apple representative and they told me the same thing...

-It is not specified here on the Online store. If it is not yet available I would check back in Pacific Time. That is the Time zone Apple usually releases information.
Is there anyway you are sure? I kind of don't want to stay up until 1am...
-My apologies, but since it is not posted here online. The only other option would be to contact our MacExpert team. I recommend saving your cart with your Apple ID so that when the option is available you will be able to continue to checkout right from the cart. The number for our MacExpert department is 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753).

Exactly! So far know one in this group has been able to successfully order an in store pickup. So I highly doubt that their reasoning is true.
I'm in the DC area with 5+ stores within 20 miles.
The cynical view would be that Apple reps are no more clued in than best Buy reps. They can tell you anything and aren't responsible for anything they tell you.

yea that is BS .. i doubt no apple store between everyone trying has no iphones .. why would they start the in store pickup tonight if not one store was going to have anything

I'm just going to try @ 6 AM when I wake up because if I stay up till 1 AM and then there's some bs going on and I'm delayed further -_- no sleep = grumpy theinpirond = wife's gonna get a spanking
