iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

Been trying since 10:05pm. Greyed out non working " Pick up: Visit an Apple Retail Store. Limited quantities may be available". Plenty of stores within 10 or so miles. Zip 19154 Phila PA.

Vctr, according to the Apple Store app, Fifth Avenue and Upper West Side has at least the white 16GB in stock. Not sure what you're looking for, but try the App.

yea the website is either not working or it is pacific time .. because even when other products are unavailable .. you are still able to see individual stores but it will just say unavailable

Wo thats crazy. Did the Apple app always let you check the stock at the stores or did that just turn live about an hour ago?

I'm curious if this is the real time stock, or if they are just holding out and waiting till right before the reservation system goes live to update it.

Are you sure you do not have other items on your cart (like an accessory)? If i have multiple things, it checks inventory and finds it in stock. If i remove the accessory and try again, it no longer finds it.
 
I just want to buy off contract full price phone? can i do it tonight thru site or app, or store is the best option?

Yep positive ... All I had was the iPhone 5 in my cart and I was able to check if it was in stock at certain stores. Not sure if this is a new thing or not, but I just discovered it.
 
Apple rep I talk to insists that it is indeed 10PM local time and told me I lost the window of opportunity.

Yes. Thanks. For me, all local stores say it is available on October 30th.

Really. I can't believe I'm a 45 year old father of two sitting here irritated I can't order a phone for in store pick up tomorrow, LOL. Ah well, could be worse and I could be out drinking I guess! Wait, that's not a bad idea! :D
 
buy now button was greyed out but it went live now, but i need to provide ssn and stuff. and i dont want the contract, dang and i cant reseve off contract phone.
