you changed shipping methods? damnit, my mom ordered the phones without me. so she just did the free shipping- not realizing that by paying more, we'd get it sooner.

its not possible to change shipping methods right? after purchasing?

Sorry, I was joking.

All the shipping method's are the same. Mine is due Oct 24th-31st.
 
bad news for people expecting their iphone today on long island. there was an 18 wheeler UPS truck on the LIE stuck in the trees this morning on exit 49, route 110.

Ordered White 64GB at 0700 Eastern through Apple. I noticed that it said ships in 2 weeks when I placed the order, however when I was checking out, I had the option of choosing a different model, so I checked to see if any of them would ship earlier. To my surprise all of them said "Delivers Sept 21st" so I figured "ships in 2 weeks" was just a mistake. I just woke up so I said whatever and just placed the order anyway. If I had known it sold out in 1 hour, I would've ordered through AT&T instead.

After the order was in the system, it said Delivers Oct 5th, and I was extremely disappointed. To my surprise however, it shipped on Sept 21st. Here's the tracking history through UPS.

Ordered my iPhone today, delivery status tells me 32 days :(
is it possible that it arrives sooner?

when do i get the serial number of that iphone?

Your phone needs to be built, boxed and shipped from China and it won't be built until the back-order's have been built.

Quite unlikely that you will get it sooner than what Apple is telling you.
 
WOW... I'm SO fed up with UPS. First they take their damn time getting my iPhone here, and now they decide to - for some ungodly reason - change their route for my town? The UPS facility is 40 minutes away. They ALWAYS come at night in my town. I get at least 1 package a month from them and it always arrives at night. This time they come at 1 PM, when I'm not at home. Of course I'm not going to leave a pre-signature on the door because I'm always home by 3, they never come that early. I knew I should've anyway, the same thing happened with my RMBP. I completely forgot to print one this morning.

My only option is to drive to the facility and pick it up, if I can even do that, or wait until Monday :rolleyes: it's not like I NEED it now, I have a perfectly fine 4S, but I'm sick of waiting considering I preordered 2 weeks ago and it shipped out last weekend.
 
Been seeing a lot of iphones

loading trucks for UPS. More 9/28 than on 9/21! The people here must not have wanted to wake up in the middle of the night. They keep coming. impressive launch
 
Been waiting all day for mine and it finally came!! My husband's has been here since Wed so I am too glad to have mine :)
 
My iPhone 5 is scheduled for delivery by Monday. It will be at the local Fedex center tomorrow (Saturday), which is open for business. Has anyone attempted to pick up their package in this situation instead of waiting for the next business day?
 
Stupid UPS, it's 6:40 Denver time and I'm still waiting for my iphone!!!! It's "on the truck for delivery"
 
Forgot all about the preorder this time around so my order didn't get processed until the 16th. Haven't heard a peep from ATT since then, an all it shows is 'order being processed,' but at least I get to enter their contest for free service for a year everytime I log in to check my usage while I'm there.
 
Anyone with October 10-16 delivery estimates see any movement? Ordered on the 17th and still in processing.

Never happened before. I got it yesterday, about 12:15. Unboxed, turned on, got a "No Sim" error. Googled for error - lots of hits.... went to pop out the sim card, and,........ drum roll.... NO SIMM!!!!

Off to AT&T I went, fortunately, one near my home. They said "it happens". However, even though the "transaction" "killed" my old iphone4 (Deactivated immediately), it was about 45 min, before the new phone became active... oh well.... Got it going.... it's great....

Did you have a seperate order from them that said "various sim"? I am curious because my order is actually two orders one for phone one for sim.
 
It was in Alaska when I went to bed, now it's in Richmond already. Like 30 minutes from my house. Loooooong wait until Monday.
