What year is that pic from? Panamera ? What year? Love the panameras. Pretty polarizing design though. When I've driven my e60 into the ground it's on my short list for a daily driver.
My 997.2 has the same 3 connectors. The din round one is for the iPod cable that also uses USB for power. iPod connection requires the breakout cable. Just connecting USB to ip5 only charges. No playback. So for now I have an aux out the headphone jack.
My understanding is the panamera new boxster and 991 use PCM 3.1 which has bt audio profile and should control via USB only. But not sure on last point. Dealers aren't always too savvy on this stuff either. You might try posting on rennlist or 6speedonline forums.

Not my car, my build is still in line waiting for a build slot. That picture is similar to what I saw in the 2010 Panamera I test drive though. I'm probably one of the few people who actually love the design, and it allows for a surprisingly large cargo bay, which is one of the main reasons I decided on it over a 750, S63 or Qporte.
Thanks for the feedback btw. Since your car normally uses the proprietary connector I'm not surprised that the USB doesn't work (that'd be mainly for flash drives from my understanding), though I suspect the proprietary cable combined with the lightning adapter would work for you.
I'm seriously jealous of your GT3. A buddy of mine has a 996 GT2- super fun to drive, but I need more trunk space than a sports car can provide. I guess the Panamera's as close as I can get

This has got to be by far one of the stupidest posts I've ever seen on any board. It's the car BMW owners laugh at? I don't have an M5 but I have something equivalent to it and I don't need to post what model and how much it cost me fully loaded (unlike yourself) BUT I respect the M5 and the engineering behind it.
All I see is someone that has to justify his purchase in detail in public and insults everyone as if they're beneath you just to make your self-esteem feel better.
BTW, you say you came from the slumlords to the penthouse? Every wealthy person I know doesn't go bragging about what he has and what he spent. It's typical that if a guy brags about what he has online, more than likely he's not living the great lifestyle he claims.

I've got a 2012 S4 (I've owned 2 M5's previously 06 and 07). The Audi setup is much better but the new F10 setup rocks. I wish we could stream BT audio. Seems like a software update could change that.
Going from an M5 to an S4, kinda like me lol.
Audi said they'd be pushing out an update to enable A2DP streaming back in 2010/2011, but they seem to have forgotten all about it since they launched the 2013s (the B8.5s) with the feature. They now say they never said anything about enabling it in older models. Kinda annoying.
