Thanks to the poster for suggesting to pop back in with my teeth for extra force! You saved me time and money! I felt, like others mentioned, that it was silly but it worked! I was too scared to try and pop it back in using too much force because I felt I would break something behind the screen but it didn't and worked like a charm! Once again, thanks!

Do NOT bite on the phone. Notice everyone who is suggesting you do it or who said they did it and it worked is a new (fake) account w/ one post.

Apple turned us away!

Same thing happened to my wife. Dropped the phone and the top right corner popped out.

She took it to the Apple shop today, but they told her they wouldn't fix it! That they would need to replace the handset at a cost of £219...

Very nice Apple, very nice.

So if the bite the phone method doesn't work, what will..?!

Solid advice from a brand new poster.
Shows just how rubbish of quality the 5C is. Pity.
Drop your precious 5S, tell me what happens.

Oh an endorsement from another new poster! In that case, do it! Bite your phone.

OP: You haven't reported back yet but please do. I would be tempted to try and push it back in myself. For clarification, yes, you likely dropped it. You wrote "may" and my guess is you "did".

Worked without teeth ;)

I know my account is new and all, but believe me, don't use your friggin' teeth. I took the other advice, took off the two screws, popped the top off with a suction cup, and put the screen back to how it was supposed to be. Good as new, and no broken teeth. Thanks to those who weren't DBs and actually posted helpful info.

Also, I didn't have the tiny T1 screwdriver needed, but used the end of a sharp knife and it worked just fine.

Oh did I hurt your feelings?

Oh did I hurt your feelings?

Not even remotely. Unlike you, I don't need to bash products I do not own to make myself feel superior. I encourage you to drop your precious 5S and see what happens. I believe someone will cry about the results and it certainly isn't going to be me.

Trust me, it will be ok

So today I dropped my phone and it did the same thing, so the top left corner was coming out of the plastic. I read through these and was planning on going to the apple store, but I wanted to try it myself first. I was really scared to just push it back in, but when I eventually pushed it hard enough it snapped back in. I didn't want to try biting it because that seemed a little ridiculous, but trust me, you won't hurt anything by pushing it back in. I was scared to do this, but it worked fine. I hope this helps anyone else that freaked out when this happened to them! :)

May I ask what the scheme of this is? Why are people telling everyone to bit their phone? What do they get out of it? Just a laugh when someone snaps off a chunk of their phone with their teeth?

Use hair dryer to heat the plastic so it softer then push the screen into place

Maybe it's just me, but I would much rather it pop out than break.

I know many hate plastic phones, but I don't care personally. Assault rifle stocks, pistol stocks and all kinds of things that take far more abuse than a phone use it. In fact aluminum framed guns look worse quicker, scratch easier. I know that from experience. If it lowers the price, I'm for plastic as I put a case on it and I have nothing to prove to myself or anyone else.

I just passed on an sgs2 samsung that I have had for 3 years and it looks like new. I dropped it many times on ceramic tile floors and one time flung it accross the room to the floor and it never broke. So far it appears the plastic allows it to pop out and aluminum flexes less and can break easier.

I'm not saying everyone should prefer plastic, just that there is nothing wrong with them.

No comment on biting them though.

Don't Bite, Push

I did the cutting board, dishtowel, push option and it worked great. My daughter's corner had popped out, too. And she KNEW she dropped it. :)

Time for a LifeProof case, I think.

My sister dropped her 5C, and the screen popped out at a corner, like the OP's picture shows. I fixed it by putting it face down on a wooden table, and pressing firmly with my palm on the back corner of the phone. It scared me at first, because it made a loud click sound when the screen went back in place, but it's totally fine now. Good as new.

Iphone 5c Screen Popped Out?

I had the same issue today at school. I dropped my phone once more, and the screen popped out in the left corner. Thinking I needed to replace the screen and call in Apple to deal with the hassle, I called my brother for some help.
No need to turn it into the store, all you need to do is pinch it back into place. Yes, I understand it sounds quite like it would break it, it actually works. If you pinch it hard enough into its place you should hear a pop and it should be back to how it was. I hope this helps out a little bit and it saves money and time for you guys needing to know how to fix this situation. :) :apple:

I'm so glad you said that! I had the same problem, but I read your post and tried it. It worked for me!

I have braces too and I cringe at the very thought of biting anything hard. The idea of biting my phone, it's purely preposterous.

Thank you so much to the person who recommended you bite down to snap it back in. I didn't think it would work, but it did! (and now my teeth hurt )
