Unless Apple artificially constrains supply I would doubt that the iPhone5c will be sold out anytime soon. I am curious to see what will happen with the iPhone 5s.

Very useful, can you do o2 and EE etc?

Just got the 5C 32Gb!

Excited to go from my 5 to 5C since it has a better battery, front time FT camera, and new durable design!

After trading in my phone to Gazelle for $335 and buying this, plus a dock, plus Apple Care...I'm breaking even!

PS - Got it on the App!

why? lol why not just get the 5s

This is beyond me, how a well respected company like Apple can go do something like this...

Steve did not build this enterprise to make decisions like this, and release products like this....

I bet he would not have allowed this. :(

Apple has never released a plastic, colorful and successful product that was not cheap.

Never, ever.

The 5c will surely fail and sell nothing and apple will implode under its own mass.

Just ordered a blue 32gb 5c for my wife and a yellow 32gb 5c for myself. I was gunning for the 5s until earlier today when I realized that the benefits of the 5s were negligible. I have a mirrorless APS-C camera that I use for most good pictures, so the 5s camera upgrades, while very cool, will probably not get used much. The fingerprint sensor is also very cool but being limited to only Apple apps is actually a major turnoff. If it can't be used for everything, I don't want to bother with it right now. I'll wait until the iPhone 7 or whatever variant is available in 2015, as surely by then even the low-end phone like this will have that - and maybe it'll actually be useful. In the meantime, I've finally got back something approaching my favorite iPhone style - the 3G and it's soft curves. Don't underestimate the appeal of those curves over the hard edges of the 5s.

Well i think those won't sell out within the next two days. Maybe early next week.
What a shame....i want my 5S!

The fact that it's still available for delivery on day 1 in every colour and the Apple store app hasn't struggled to cope with demand indicates the "mass" desire for this phone.

lol...

Hope this is sarcasm....otherwise just idiocy. Ya, the 5c will cause Apple to loose all $150billion of its cash reserves and implode.

Yeah as cool as it would be to shoot slow motion, I'd try it once and probably never touch it again.

Checked the Australian (Apple) site. $869.00 for a iPhone5c 32GB you had got to be kidding me.

Is anyone who owns a 5 seriously considering spending a considerable amount of money on a 5C rather than wait for the 5S?

Sure there's a better camera and a slightly larger battery but performance wise it's the same phone albeit in a plastic body. Are the features ot the 5S not more worthy of your upgrade?

I agree… the 'C' certainly doesn't stand for 'cheap', and the new 5S features make the choice a no-brainer IMO. But, who knows… maybe enough of the market wants bright colours more than performance, fast and secure unlocking, and a superior camera. We'll have to wait and see.

and why should there be? this is for people who walk into the store and cant spend $199 w/ contract, but they can spend $99...or $0 which it will be next year. the original 5 design is expensive to produce and Apple will certainly get a boost in interest from the re-casing of it. One of the reasons that the 5 was initially limited in supply was due to the difficulty in meeting Apple's standards for the fit and finish of the anodized aluminum body. The plastic shell may not have those issues. I wouldn't be surprised if we see $0 iPhone 5C 16GB under contract by the end of this year. Apple hates fragmentation and probably wants to get everyone on a widescreen Lightning phone as quickly as possible.

This will be the first iPhone that does not sell out within minutes as preoders start! So probably the market won't be that huge....

Why would anyone order the 5C instead of the 5S for

I hope the sales numbers are low, so Apple can get the point, but I have a feeling they won't be hurt as far as sales, people will still line up and buy it why I have no idea, there are better options out there instead of the 5C, most obvious one is the 5S

Here in the UK the 5C is STUPIDLY expensive on contract...

16GB 2 year contract.
Cheapest £26/mth with £190 up front, most expensive £51/mth with £9.99 up front.

32GB 2 year contract.
Cheapest £26/mth with £270 up front, most expensive £51/mth with £59.99 up front.

£1 = $1.58

There's either a lot of stock, or demand is non existent. An hour after it goes on live and still delivering day one? The last three launches you've not been able to get day one 5 minutes after go live!

No need for you to come here and joke around...

it's as close as it gets to be a FACT that Steve would never ever allow people to destroy everything he built up like this.

If Apple doesn't discontinue the mobile division and instead focus on the Mac-division, this decade will surely be the last for them...

I'm sad becuase I like apple, And I'm sad that Cook goes against Steve's will.

Steve should be honored, not ignored.

That's what I am guessing too… that it's probably a lot easier to mass-produce this phone. It's surely not just the cost of aluminium that pushes up the cost of producing an iPhone, but the production methods, and the number of phones that get rejected and returned.

I just wonder if they've priced the 5C too high to really create the demand they're hoping for.
