Waiting for the iPad Air hands-on videos to see if someone from the press will check the level/compass.

I think they should nickname the 5S the "boomerang Iphone". Apple ship it out and back it goes.

Having given up with the 5s for the time being - an "incredible" disappointment in Apple speak, I'm going to try again with the Ipad Air, but with the M7 setup, I hope it doesn't also become the "Ipad boomerang".

7.0.3 is released. i hope it has some fix for this.

Yup, "fixes an accelerometer calibration issue"

Fixed!!! All three axis reporting 0°

When set on landscape right edge, reported -1°, then a split second later it snapped to 0° and screen went green.

I did an iTunes update. OTA rollout may not hit you til later.

Yes, mine is showing 0 on all three axis as well. It was one degree off on the short edge and when flat.

I suspect our phones had the calibration data on them all along but an iOS 7 bug meant it was either being ignored or read incorrectly.

Still begs the question why the solution was not very well disseminated within Apple support. Online support said it was a hardware issue so I needed a replacement...

Yes, so happy!! Downloading now.

Quick question: after downloading, should I check my bearings on a perfectly leveled surface? I mean, I know if I don't I wont get 0, 0, 0, but I am curious about the calibration.

So, for my device to calibrate correctly, should my first measure be on a perfectly leveled table?
