I'm going to test it out later tonight by using it to drive to a restaurant dinner in an unfamiliar town. I'll use Apple Maps to drive back and see if there's any noticeable change from my old 5, will report back here later.
My old 5 compass wasn't perfect either, but it wasn't much of an issue, I occasionally geocache and use it for walking directions, and if there were discrepancies they were mild enough not to be noticed. For Navigon there was an occasional moment when I'm driving on a road so tightly parallel to an adjacent road that it couldn't tell the difference, but that as far as inaccuracies went.

This was mentioned previously but I'm wondering if this is an extremely common occurrence: out of the box I immediately compared the 5s to the 5 and there was no difference at all, so I thought I was one of the lucky ones. One/two days later it's now -2 degrees off, but ONLY on the long side (or lying flat).
Makes no sense to me, especially how it seemed perfectly calibrated out of the box, and then over the course of a couple of days it changes 2 degrees. Whut?
