For people having the -1 degree issue maybe the DND method works now?
Is a warranty replacement a brand new retail unit with matching serial number to the retail packaging ?
I also returned my unit within 14 days for refund because Apple didn't communicate and the fact I was told it would not be replaced with a new retail unit if I exchanged at the Genius Bar. Hence the 14 pay point is necessary.
I guess it's worth a try for those that aren't happy with the -1 offset. I'd personally be happy if I had -3/5 and ended up with -1 after 7.0.3.
I'm reading -1 on all flat surfaces, so not fixed for me![]()
But all of the armchair engineers said it was a HARDWARE issue.

Oh I understand the situation perfectly well, but these people (you?) couldn't even wait for a software update. NOPE, its a hardware fault! Take it back! This ones faulty as well, take it back again! rant on forums!
All you needed was a little patience. Its nothing to do with spending a lot of money on a premium product. Apple became aware of the issue and worked to adding the fix into 7.0.3. Thats it. No big ordeal. It was just a software issue. Surely waiting for a software update is a simple enough thing to do. Its not like there were 10 updates and the problem still persisted. A little patience would serve you well (and probably reduce stress meaning you'll live a little longer too).
Oh, I guarantee Apple just wrote a software code to set everybody's at 0°.
Something has changed, no doubt.
What's interesting is that before 7.0.3 the compass app would be quite slow to read off the numbers. Like you could visibly see them counting down or up to whatever degree it ended up on when you placed your phone down.
After 7.0.3, it's REALLY fast to get its numbers.
Well done, Apple. Well done.
iPhone 5s = best. phone. ever.
U fix that home button and screen interlacing, best phone ever without a doubt.
I have never seen the screen interlacing, so I can't comment on that. And the home button - I agree - could be less... noisy. But even with those issues (one of which I wish I could see, or... maybe not) it's still the absolute best phone out there.
your lucky you dont see it, It doesnt bother me that much. Just clicking the button and hearing 2-3 clicks after pressing it and letting go is ridiculous. Ive been on the wait list for over a week now. & my Apple store still hasn't received a black replacement 32Gb in 8 business days. Crazy demand.
