I am on the fence. This is just as likely to be true as it is to be false. I remember so many saying that the iPhone 4 "didn't look like Apple" when it was leaked. There are people that cling on to every rumor as the truth and there are people that except every rumor as false. It is what it is.

My opinion? I am not enamored, but you never know. Obviously I haven't seen it in operation, much less used one. Obviously I know nothing about any potential additional features that the next iPhone will have that previous versions will not. Maybe I will be WOWed. I will have to wait and see.

I guess this is an accurate pict then? The screen is longer allowing for an additional row of icons, probably making it 16:9 ratio too.

The battery looks to be pretty much the same in capacity, which is weird because it is physically bigger.

I just cannot get over how ugly it is. The back panel looks like there's a battery door due to the matte vs shiny surfaces. It's almost as though Apple is testing to see if a hideous phone will sell.

Answer? Oh yes, it will in record numbers. All one has to do is to read the posts here from those who make every excuse in the book for why it's the way it is. Proof positive that if Apple creates it, the faithful will buy it no matter what.

An incredible testimony to the power Apple has over the minds of it's followers. What an incredible phenomenon. :)

No way...

10 mAh battery increase for a bigger screen, LTE and other goodies? That wouldn't even get me too lunch time.

So far so good.

Through all iPhones after the 3G have a design language that is very different than other Apple products.

I would like the iPhone to share more design cues with the iPad and Mac Book Air. Meaning more unibody and/or aluminum.

I like the way the "5" is shaping up however.

I know right? How many iPhone 4/4s's have been sold since release?

And people are just going to drop Apple and RUN to android if the current design is enhanced with a larger screen, LTE, etc...

....riiight

The problem is they are just making the screen taller, not wider, which will just make it look / feel awkward.

If the 6th generation iPhone gets LTE and that larger display, .15Whr increase in the battery will not be enough.

But this really doesn't look as bad as people are claiming it is.

Personally, I don't think it looks bad. I just don't see a point for the elongated screen. Maybe there will be some killer feature that utilizes it? I don't know. Right now I feel like we are getting the 4" screen that nobody wanted.

I don't know. Right now I feel like we are getting the 4" screen that nobody wanted.

Nobody wanted an Apple MP3 player

Nobody wanted a touchscreen smartphone

Nobody wanted an enlarged phone called an iPad

Nobody wanted a phone that talked back to you

What do these things have in common? No one wanted them and then everyone copied them, after everyone bought them.

I for one think we need to hold this phone in our hands before we can make some quick judgements.

Let's wait till release else we all look like the dumbasses in that iPhone 4 leak thread.

A phone can really only change so much. No design is going to be revolutionary at this point. It really will boil down to software. iPhones are already the most fluid phones on the market.

If that is the next iPhone then I'm jumping ship. I have been screaming for a 4.5-5.5" screen for a long time, so 4" isn't going to cut it. It's a shame because I enjoy the OS but Apple is getting lapped in the hardware department. Not to start a war of iOS vs Android, but if they release this and Android phones continue to make bigger and better phones then I think Apple is making a big mistake. Of course they will sale a lot but their market share is steadily decreasing.
