Bigger screen, or more to the point to give those who want a larger screen the choice while giving those who feel a 4" screen is big enough what they want. Like with the iPad and iPad mini. A redesign that lifts Apple stock and gives us the same feeling that we had during the summer of 2010. Many of the people who say they don't want a larger screen will be the same people who praise it when it comes. AAPL can't wait until the summer of 2014 for a turnaround.

Just this

I paid dearly for the iPhone 5 not very long ago and now its technology is nearly outdated by comparison to this rumor.

So outdated you could sell it on ebay for a pretty good price if it's in good condition. The higher capacity models hold their value pretty well.

I get a kick out of thin skinned individuals like yourself. I think I'll stay and contribute to your annoyance. I hope Apple helps by continuing to release mediocre products.

So you admit you're a troll. Interesting.

Well isn't most tech outdated by the time you bring it home from the store anyway? There's always going to be something bigger/better/newer.

No. That's not what he admitted. He admitted that he will continue posting his thoughts regardless of what another poster feels about them.

The fact that it annoys Lark is just a bonus.

Essentially this

I just think it's funny how people get upset at criticisms directed at a company. You'd think someone raped your sister with some of the outbursts the fanboys make.

So Apple is now supposed to completely redesign their phones from the ground up.... every 6 months?

I'd agree with you if it were actually true. Apple hasn't changed the basic form factor since my last phone the 3GS. I like my 4S a lot and will wait to see what the 6 has in store.

I don't think you're being serious, but about the Notes app: Why can't we choose a font besides the ones it gives us? Two of them suck anyway.

The only choice Apple gives you is wallpapers.

Speaking of Notes and font. Why cant their be rich text and why cant we add attachments and photos in the iOS version?

I can't lie... the 5S has me very, very nervous. I've stated it before and I'll say it again. Apple HAS to redesign the phone NOW, be it multiple screen size options, or a new look and feel; if they wait until 2014, they are going to get pounded into the sand. And hard. It might be a swan song of sorts to let competitors step in and steal the thunder.

Apple HAS to see the landscape of phones out there. 1.5 years for the iphone6 to release with a dramatic design is just too long in this ultra competitive environment. But I get a sinking feeling. A very bad one. That I'm about to watch the once great Apple completely whiff the opportunity of a lifetime.

Most of the people complaining are probably those already with the current iPhone 5 and don't actually need an upgrade to the 5s

There is legitimate criticism, and then there is petulant whining about the same handful of topics over and over and over. That second category gets kinda tedious after a while.

I agree that Apple needs to step it up a bit to assure their grip on the market. Although I don't see them redesigning the phone soon, making an iPhone 5S release more probable, I do think their strategy will involve luring in customers with a new version of iOS, even more so if it is significantly redesigned. Improving the hardware slightly will make the deal all the more sweeter.

Even if Apple does suffer a bit of a flop, I think they'll manage afterward. They've done so before and it only resulted in them putting out a series of fantastic products.

You have no idea how to run a business. Apple releasing an iPhone 6 now would actually lead to much lower profits. The iPhone 5S will have margins of 55+ and will outsell the 5 by at least 20%. An iPhone 6 will not increase margins infact it will decrease them by a huge amount like the 5 did. The increase in sales of a 6 compared to a 5S will not counter the decrease in margins. most people that have iPhones now will upgrade to the next one no matter which iPhone comes out. 90% of iOS remain in iOS for their next phone.

I'd love to see Apple get out more than just one phone a year. Maybe one of the issues is just getting the manufacturing process in place to handle the demand, so they can just do one phone. But still I'd like to see Apple keep around the 3.5" form factor and keep upgrading the internals. Heck, they could miniaturize the inside, keep the outside the same, and include a bigger battery. I'm sure it would sell. And the smaller screen form is getting abandoned by Android.

How about a 4SX next year that includes an updated processor but sticks with the beautiful glass body? Use stronger Gorilla Glass to make people more likely to go caseless.

Living in the past. 3.5 inch is dead.
